Hello! it is Draceana Janet Craig. Not compacta, what it looks like is inconsistent watering mixed with no humidity. What i would do is since this plant works wonderfully when pruned is you can cut this plant into 12 inch peaces and push them into a fresh pot with dirt. Water until evenly moist and allow to completely dry out inbetween waterings. This makes a fuller more beautiful plant. ALSO you can cut about 8 inches below the first leaves that show up on the stalk. it will grow new heads from the cut stalks and the bushiness of the crowns will camouflage the naked stems that were left. goodluck! and post anywhere you want:) thats what we're here for!

Looks like Dracaena deremensis "Lemon-Lime" Should be pretty easy to fix. It's usually a low-care houseplant. Suggestions: .More light..grows OK in low light but can also take lots of sun .Move it outside for a few hours in warm weather (in shade) and spray lightly with water once or twice a week ...most houseplants don't like indoor humidity .Remove lower brown leaves that naturally fall anyway...this doesn't harm plant at all .If it gets "leggy" (tall and too thin) just cut off top 3 or 4 inches of the longest branches. It should make 2 new branches where you cut it and the cuttings will take root in water

that's not a biting of anything. it's some kind of damage done to the leaf. It could have been folded or crushed at some point. maybe when it was repotted several leaves got crushed. So not problem there. the rest of the leaf is a good colour of green. Its not lacking sunlight for sure. Now if you placed it outdoors in direct sunlight it would have caused sunburns and damaged the plant. -- an error I made myself when I transplanted here in Canada. I came from the tropics where these plants are plentiful. These are under canopy plants and so they enjoy indirect sunlight -which is the reason they have such large leaves because that's needed for all the sunlight they can get. They are climbers too as they tent to grow up jungle trees to capture that sunlight. But they always stay within the shade. Yep, they can grow upwards of 20 feet. I've seen taller growths in the rainforest. However you do need to consider root space. if it's cramp then it can no longer sustain taller growths. you can always keep it short. Anyway.. you get the point. No direct sunlight. And lots of humidity.

I would put a plastic tray, like a deep plate in the bottom and use these planters to sit plastic pots (with drainage holes) inside the copper pots. Then you can remove the inner pots to water, excess can flow out of the drain holes, and you won't have to worry about it any more deeply than that.
