Comments (3)The stairs-should be ok, I would open the wall there for better access though. It seems like it would be cramped and inconvenient to enter the hall to go downstairs. This would also allow you to access the closet in the hall from the entry if you would like to use it for guests. The keeping room...I can't read your plans very well but it looks about 15x19? I think you might get a couple of chairs or a couch but not both, it is a good sized room but with the fireplace, the entry from the kitchen/greatroom, the doors going outside and the entry to the master it will need space for traffic to flow. I personally find the door leading to the master to be awkwardly placed, it would help to move it to the end of the wall so it is less in the way and the door can swing towards the end wall. However maybe it is there for a reason, like having a sofa in front of the triple window? How big of a tv are you thinking? You could just move the french doors over and put a tv near the FP...or *gasp* ...over the mantel. (Don't hurt me please!) :) Good luck, it isn't an easy room....See Morehelp blueprints expand the nails salon

Comments (4)Hi Jen S , It looks like you have 7' to the edge of the pool, not including the coping. That leaves about 5-6' clear walkway. That might seem like a lot, however it's probably a safe distance. When I think of pools I always think of parties & kids. Basically my favorite activity as kid myself. Between running, splashing (slippery) and also what appears to be access from that side, you could consider the 7', 'the right size.' To add anything significant to your decking would be at least 2 feet - cutting down considerably on that side. Plus - it's going to look great centered from the inside, as opposed to be off center enough to visually look weird. Hope that helps! Comments (4)Thanks everyone, there were discussions for removing the mirror but that project will wait til after the holiday. The 90 degree setup is what I like, as the other party, it's just she liked the open look at the fireplace from the kitchen view, and the back of the couch hides it somewhat. We did end up going with the displayed setup by Bev, thank you! And thanks all, I would love to update you when a finished project is done. Happy holidays to you all. ❤️...See MoreRelated Professionals
