Thanks! The house was empty for a year and a half before we bought it. There's a 30 yr old Camillia bush in the backyard that is HUGE, a well pruned japanese maple, a high producing satsuma tree, and as i discovered this past winter, a TON of daffodils randomly placed all over. (My mom says I should dig them up and give them a structured layout so they can avoid the lawnmower). Also Spider lillies and rose bushes that flower beautifully are hidden all over. And my favorite is the double-bloom hibiscus tree. I have wonderful honey bees everywhere and it seems the previous owner was quite the gardener. It has been such a joy to discover all these gorgeous colorful presents around my yard.

Sorry for the loss (assuming the rest browns out). Not an expert by any means, but I think the species is very picky. I lost a sizeable 'Fukuzumi' that has been in the ground for three years...suddenly this spring for no apparent reason, and having looked extremely healthy prior. I have many parvifloras that are doing well (and for many more years), but have lost many as well. It's possible that even at 4 yrs it wasn't fully established and finally succumbed to some sort of stress factor (drought, heat, pest, etc.). I wouldn't give up though, the parvs are beautiful :)

This year old Lakeside Paisley Print was found tucked away in my Houtinaya mess in my hosta bed info on that is in another post! ;-( !! The picture is from a couple weeks ago. Now it is almost gone. Any hope for this one? Will it come back but most of all what is it???

fert usually requires enough water to carry it down into the soil .. and warm enough temps to trigger it ... if you literally just 'sprinkled' a little bit around... then i would think that is not the issue .. especially if they didnt all respond this way ... unless on this one.. it got away from you.. and you dumped half a bag on it .... and that doesnt sound like what you did .... i think you might have a cold sink where this one is ... this is a common occurrence in my much colder area.. that the leaves roll up ... when we have a spring cold snap ... if not all winter in my MI ... i dont quite understand the pic.. except to wonder if its somewhat straight down ... throwing off our perspective ... is it at the bottom of a hill... where cold night temps might pool ... or something like that??? .. is your lot big enough that same plants in different location could react differently??? .. and you just never noticed it before ???? day temps arent as important as might temps.. have you been watching those ... any info on such??? if i havent said it before.. welcome to the forums ... ken ps: where are you.. big city name ... zone 7 is rather divergent .... as they all are ...
