Comments (6)I need to put something on both some pressure treated lumber decking and some cedar decking. Has any one used Deckscapes sold at Sherwin Williams. I read it was good. Otherwise my neigbhor used Behr and liked it in the past but I don't read such great things about it on this forum. Let me know what you guys think and thanks a lot!...See MorePlease, Please, Please help me find a backsplash!!
Comments (28)Well I'm a magpie too :) So I have both a mosaic (behind the range) and a subway tile, but I do have to compliment the fact that you went with a blue. I like it with the granite. A neutral would have been safer, and oh so boring :) By the way, we need to use the term DS...oh wait that's taken....(Dear Spouse dear son might get confusing) Or I like "SU" (spousal unit). My DH or SU as the case may be :) was told early in the design process that "I don't know" has a three day window to be turned into "I don't care" if he can't figure out what he wants :) Since I'm the designer...that's a challenge for him heh heh But he's one opinionated SU so normally he comes up with something :) He had definate influance on the backsplash. I was HORRIFIED with the cost, and he decided that it was the "only" one that worked LOL so my inner magpie won LOL...See MoreDrawers: 2x18 or 1x36? Corner: lazy suzan or deadspace/drawers?
Comments (15)That's what I'm thinking... Tablecloths, formal place settings, serving platters. Stuff that we rarely use. Just to be clear, what I've asked the designer to add is a full height pull-out (imagine the sort of thing that folks use for garbage inserts) with several rots. I've not used rots anywhere else but since the overhang would block a standard drawer it made sense. It was rots or standard shelves, so it seemed like the lesser of two evils. I'll post the updated plan tomorrow. Thanks again, everyone, for all of your wisdom....See Moreplease help! we have an exterior that desperately needs help please
Comments (8)Hillary, I am not a professional so I try to think of things that could be done by a homeowner on their own without spending a lot of money. If the grids in your doors cannot be painted then I would paint the door white. I would trim the tree so that the trunk is viable. Evaluate plants to determine if they should be relocated. It is not attractive to cover the lower windows. Plant something attractive and flowering near the door. Grow grass in the small bed at the end of the landing. The entrance will have a cleaner look with that bed gone. Any plants you choose for the center of the foundation should say low....See MoreSus Maholly
