I found this growing beside a rosebush this morning. It's about 5" high, the flies like it and it's been there no longer than 2 days. They look like upside down carrots lol. You can see some nasty creeping cinquefoil next to them for scale :x

Any idea what this is? SW Ontario, Canada. Zone 6. My dad, an old farmer, was over this morning and he's never seen it before either.
