I can't make another decision...please help!

Comments (5)The window by the fridge is too big right now but we will be making it smaller so it doesn't interfere with the fridge. Porcelain is a manufactured countertop which is very strong and low maintenance. It is also thin, unlike granite/quartz which is a look I like. The one I like looks a bit like marble but I understand you can get many different looks. It is more expensive than granite. herbflavor - I've looked for inspiration photos but really haven't found anything for a small kitchen that doesn't have an island - other than stillpitpat's photos above. That works. I should say that I have white appliances....See MoreWhen you can't make a decision?
Comments (43)So many great comments here- and helpful too. Joaniepoanie absolutely. I can so relate to that with the bathrooms. It's not that I want to settle to get it done, but yes you now have the bathrooms looking way better than they and you can just enjoy that. (and yes if the dream accessories materialize you can change). I did link the original thread for my kitchen back in here but I think I might just start a new one to see any input because I am ready to decide after having mulled this over for months.........and then I will say my decision will be made by Tuesday. Jakabedy YES to you as well. I find sometimes getting started is the key. I think a part of me is/was hoping to be bowled over by an option that is clearly THE one but in most instances I am considering, there are really more than one very fine option. Given my ridiculously overly cautious and analytical nature I keep researching and what if ing and so on. I am trying very hard (very very hard) to just make a few decisions and go from there. I know when it's all said and done, I will feel a lot better....See MoreHow to make design decisions when you can’t visualize???
Comments (15)Gosh when we did our new home 2 years ago I had the same issue here and there. We did not use a designer and I made most of the decisions by myself. I don't think I used any ONE way to come to an answer. Most often I looked back over my inspiration pics to remind myself of my original plan, bc it is so easy to get sucked into another look you like and go off in a different direction you may regret later. If some inspo pics were different then I tried to narrow them to 2 or 3 and just decide which one I liked best. Sometimes I made myself little mockups in powerpoint or a photo editor app to get a visual of some options. Sometimes, with selections like wood floor stain or grout color, I had my contractor make up mini versions so I could actually see the results in person. My hallway had several areas of different stains. I had the tile guy make a few small boards with tiles and different grout colors so I could see them, hold them up, etc. And when I just couldn't select "the perfect one" I did as Patricia said and I kept it simple. I do have a few regrets, but they are minor in the whole scheme of things. Also, it helped to not look at what other people are doing/did that wasn't really even a look I was going for or could afford....See More- 5 years ago
