Mentha- OKAY- you have me beat! Are your cats outside? Those guppies sure do propogate! I have Platys that started as 2, but are now overcrowding the aquarium. It was fun at first to find the babies, but now we just groan when we find a new one. I just bought a clown loach that should take are of any more babies. Did you get that right? I should let the cuttings dry 1-2 weeks? Others have said 1-2 days. It will not die? I repotted it this afternoon after my nap. I did add alot of perlite and put it in smaller (plastic, ugh) pot. Then I chopped off the center stalk and put it up to dry out. Toni- Yes- both were repotted at the same time in the same soil. Another bit of info- one has red flower and the other has creamy flowers. Are there any other colors out there?

Gorgeous! I've never seen such an awesome collection of different kinds all in one place! They're just lovely. A friend of mine has the cutest little Crown of Thorns, which she neglects like crazy. And still, it rewards her with little red flowers all year round! That was the first time I'd seen that plant. I've found a seller on eBay who has both of the kinds I've been looking for: one with tiny red flowers, and one with larger creamy yellow flowers. I'm traveling a bit over the next month, but once I'm home for good, they're MINE. :)

I had few plants in pot and I left side by side..all the colors planted initially was different colors but when plant grew big side by side and plants started flowering it was all same color...why was that and what can be done next?

Just to add to the confusion, my experience with these is that they like some compost in the soil as well as a little more moisture than standard C&S. So I have then in glaze pots instead of standard clay pots, and added potting soil to 25-30% in the basic C&S soil/pumice 50/50 mix I use for all my other C&S. They are in full sun at least 6 hours and I water them once a week. I would definitely check the soil they are in now. They are most likely in a heavy peat-base soil now and not getting enough water because when peat is dry it does not absorb the water. So you think you water your plant but they end up not getting much.
