2 story foyer lighting
Comments (0)I'm replacing our foyer lighting and would appreciate some help. The room measures 12 x 13 and I would guess it is about 20 ft tall. I really like this Ballard Designs pendant, but know it is not big enough: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/delaney-pendant/lighting/pendant-lights/224857?listIndex=19 Does anyone know where I can find a bigger version? Or do you have other suggestions? I'd like to keep the price reasonable too. As far as style goes, my kitchen has the pb hundi lantern and bd montessart chandelier. And I'm eyeing the vc marigot chadelier for the adjacent dining room. http://www.potterybarn.com/products/hundi-lantern/?pkey=cchandeliers-pendants (in black) http://www.polyvore.com/montserrat_chandelier_iron_aluminum/thing?id=32030869 http://www.homeclick.com/visual-comfort-chc1415r-chart-house-6-light-marigot-chandelier-in-rusted-old-brass/p-488170.aspx...See More2-story foyer finally painted!
Comments (7)Thank you for the nice comments. : ) It is so rich and warm--I am loving it. I only wish I wasn't such a perfectionist--I notice the flaws too. But I know that most anyone who walks in won't be looking for them/at them. I should put out a public "thank you" to members of this board for suggesting Carrington Beige. I was looking at something even warmer, and it was pointed out to me (correctly so!) that it wouldn't work with my runner and upstairs hall carpet. I had worried the Carrington would look more grey, and it certainly doesn't! Lynn, I'm thinking something warm and beige/gold for the dining room, too. I could go green, but I wonder if it might be too dark against the moss green end chairs. I'm open to all suggestions--as long as they will look good with Carrington Beige. : ) The small living room (in back of the dining room) has the same color scheme, though more transitional furniture. I don't know much about the wood. This was not a custom home. We bought it 95% finished. The floors are oak. I don't know any more than that. I'm sorry! The little boy is my 4 1/2 year-old, Joshua. : ) He has a 7 year-old older brother named Jack. : )...See More2 story foyer chandelier
Comments (13)Either one you posted will work. The fixture is up so high the only time you are really going to look at is coming down the staircase you seem to like the distressed wood and black iron so maybe do iron on your staircase or paint the spindles black and banister white rather than stain it...See More2 Story Foyer Paint Question
Comments (5)Hi - are you looking for a darker colour than SW Alabaster? Or were you hoping for something lighter? Only if you were considering a white for the walls then the Alabaster trim will appear more colourful than the walls. Not wrong, just a particular look. Less important if you were hoping for darker or more colourful walls than the trim....See MoreJanet
