Which cabinets should I stain and which should I paint
Comments (9)Have you seen Elizpiz's kitchen? It might give you some inspiration on what to paint and what to stain. There's something about your elevations that make me think of her beautiful kitchen. Comments (1)I would do the waincoting in light (whitish) color to match the rest of the door trim and baseboards and that will coordinate well with the green. Maybe the wall could be a shade darker, or lighter, then the wainscot and trim? Add a beautiful painting on the wall and some potted plants around the room to pick up the basil green cabinets. It will look great!...See MoreShould I stain door and cabinets the same dark stain color as trim?
Comments (4)Another thought since you have a light pine ceiling. Stain cabinets and door same as ceiling. It's all tricky since you have several finishes--trim, ceiling, walls, floors. Other option is a pale color as in photo below. In any case, be thinking also about layered lighting around the space--overhead, pendant, kitchen counter lamps to light up the room. Oh, especially add undercabinet lighting, which will bounce light up from your light countertops!...See MoreWhat color should I paint my kitchen cabinets with Taj Mahal quartzite
Comments (8)Nobody asked for the full context. I did, as she wrote"my floor is ceramic beige and cream tones" Call it big trouble in "river city" .....from her private message. Wait until the op returns. Paint is the least of the issue right now. To others.......... When we prod and poke beyond your obvious question? We do it for a reason, and it isn't to annoy you. Ask FIRST before major investments in any partial refresh of anything. : ) but especially kitchens and baths....See MoreCasey M.
