All w/ Stainlifters FYI

Happy accident today.

I'm remodeling the laundry room so the W/D have been out of commission for nine days and counting.

This morning DS announced that he is out of clean underwear and needed to go to the laundromat on Sunday. No time for it today or tomorrow.

To save him the trip, I decided to hand wash the mentioned unmentionables. No laundry sink available, obviously, so I used the kitchen sink. It's an old (Kohler) cast iron sink that stains easily. Coulda', shoulda' scrubbed it out but didn't. Warm water, dirty clothes, All w/ stainlifters (because it was the easiest detergent to get to. Swished the clothes around, left to soak for 10-15 minutes, drained and rinsed the clothes.

And was completely amazed that the grubby stained sink was white again! Needless to say, a small jar of All is now going under the sink...whole lot easier than scrubbing with Comet or Bar Keeper's Friend.
