We have a dark golden oak spiral staircase that would be way too cost prohibitive to paint/stain at this point.

The existing floor is also golden oak and we striped /sanded it b/c we wanted to run the same wood into another room so we wanted it consistent.

We looked at a few stain colours and really like the dark walnut. It's very similar but it's taken out the yellowish tinge.

My dilemma is whether we should just re-stain the flooring all golden oak again to match the stairs. Or if it will look terrible to have dark walnut floors against a golden oak spiral staircase?
