Comments (24)Wow, there is a lot of good information here. Glad I posted with my problem, now I have something new to try out. Thanks owbist. ravencajun, thanks for the compliment but I only had the first half of it figured out and cboy came to the rescue and helped me with the last half of it. I can't take all the credit. "Smiles" Then zep516 came in catching the fact that System Restore wasn't working right and gave me great information on how to correct that. This was the first time that I've had problems with my desktop, but I have changed the backround on it before and I remembered that and I thought why not check it out and see if I could get it to change and that is when I discovered that the backround had been changed and all I had to do was to put it back like I had it, but then I didn't know how to get the icons back and that's when cboy posted the solution for me. If that ever happens to me again I will know exactly what to do. Thanks owbist for telling me how to move the icons down to the taskbar. I will try that on Wednesday, I will have more time to try it out then. thirdfrt!!!...See MoreTime to Put Up The Tree - And My Kitchen Still Isn't Finished...
Comments (3)I'm so sorry your job has become such a nightmare. It's hard when something that is going to be a great improvement in your home becomes such a trial to get through. I'm with you in spirit - we started what was allegedly a four-month job on December 2, 2013. We knew at the time that six months was more realistic, but we would have the space back by July 4th, no problem. It's one year later and we're still not done (should be about two weeks out). We're close enough now that friends come by to look at the kitchen and say "oh, you're going to love cooking here" and, like OOTM Mom, I feel no pleasure or joy or anticipation, just "whatever, yeah." Every day is a day closer to finished. Hang on....See MoreWhy isn't my dryer drying my clothes?
Comments (17)Ok! Good thoughts, thank you. So I did already clean the sensor (i.e. that chrome equal-sign item in the drum) with rubbing alcohol. Tumbles fine; had a very clattery quarter in there the other night and I know that's working. :) When I had the dryer vent cleaned and the vent tubing replaced, the dryer vent guy sucked out the machine as well and checked it with clothes running and said I had good air flow. And yes, when I said vent tubing I meant that the previous installer had put in that chintzy mylar looking stuff and I had it replaced with aluminum flex. The vent goes out to the roof (2nd floor) and I think that is because the laundry room is in an awkward corner where the main part of the house meets an ell (pic below; laundry room is in the main part of the house to the left of the dormer). Interior vent pic attached also. I'm going to guess then that it's a coil or temp sensor or voltage problem then. Will report back....See MoreZiemia
