Okey dokey...help with green exterior paint
Comments (15)Oh my yes, go to a paint or home improvement store and look at their displays of coordinating paints. They'll have the trim matches already thought out and suggested. I don't think you could go too wrong with any one of a number of greens on this. The only green I ever found offensive on a house was one I BOUGHT, lol. It was bright apple green and despite all the really important interior work it needed, painting over that was one of the first things I did. And I painted the whole danged house myself just to get it done. Your little house is perfect for making a statement with paint. It has very understated basic lines. Nothing wrong with that, but paint and detailing could make a world of difference in making it more interesting and for very little cost....See MoreNeed help with exterior paint...thinking green but not too green!
Comments (1)Maybe you already have the perfect color on the siding and only need to change the colors of the trim. Sage green shutters and a red front door, with the red tilting towards orange, not blue so that it blends with the yellow-brown of the bricks. OR, Maybe a shade of gray for the siding that tilts toward brown, which I guess would be a taupe color....See MoreNeed help with exterior paint color for hunter green roof
Comments (2)At your favorite paint store you should find an exterior color card. Not the small chips but a brochure sized card that shows exterior color schemes. Look for the 3 or 4 color scheme that has green for the shutters and a deep beige/taupe/clay color for the siding. Your roof is the "shutters" part of the scheme. Good luck!...See Moreawful looking investment property needs help
Comments (20)A good pressure wash will get the mold off the house. You would almost be better off just buying a pressure washer from Sams than pay someone to do it. For what they charge you could own or almost own the washer. And as you know a pressure washer is about as important as a lawn mower in Florida with all the humidity for mold to thrive. I just bought a nice washer from Sams that starts every time without blowing a back disc so let me know if you want the info. Maybe you should just leave the door for now? I don't think grey would be an improvement. Down the road when you do an exterior facelift you could decide on the whole scheme. Like everyone already said, plants would be nice. Look for slow growing near drought resistant (xero scape) type plants because renters may not water or trim. You can buy smaller Foxtail palms fairly cheap and they grow fast and are a good hurricane resistant (to a point) trees as their roots go straight down to China. They had some in Costco around 5' for $14 or $16 I forget....See MoreCarrie Sty
