OK, you could paint walls a deep blue and paint the vanity a taupe that matches the towel holders or a white and change out the knobs. Look at replacement shades for the sconces that are more white.

I'd work with the yellow in the tile by painting the walls a creamy color and paint the vanity a coordinating robins egg blue-ish. Check out Sherwin Williams Shell White for Walls and Watery for vanity

Sherwin williams sells small sample pots. Before committing to paint colors, grab some foam core from dollar tree and paint a sample board. IMO boards are better than samples directly on the wall; you can move it around the room and the white border of the foam core doesn't influence the sample.

Edited to add images of my paint color suggestions. I'd probably paint the tan tile rather than work with it. It looks like it clashes with the yellow in the main tile.

One option is to find a chip that matches the tan tiles, then pick the lightest color on the chip for the walls and the darkest color for the mirror frame and cabinet. That would give you a high contrast look, not exactly the black and white of "modern farmhouse", but it would look coordinated.

Another option is to paint the cabinet and walls as close to the white in the tiles as possible. Too bright white will make the tiles look dirty.

Before finalizing your paint choice: Change out the beige frosted glass on the sconces if you can find white instead of beige glass. Use new "bright white" (not "soft white") LED bulbs with color temperature of 3500K.

Is this a powder room or a bathroom with tub or shower? If the latter, do you have a tub enclosure or a shower curtain? If curtain, I'd start with that.

If it's a powder room, you can go with a bolder color, e.g. darker blue or sun gold yellow, or emerald green. Looks like the bullnose tile is that mustard color, too.

What does the floor look like?

Alternatively, paint the walls a coordinating white/cream and the vanity black. Then more black and white accessories/art.

i actually have another question because I face the same issue. How is that mirror/cabinet attached since it seems to be hanging over the tile edge? Or is it set into the tile (i.e. no tile behind the bottom of the cabinet/mirror?

Thank you everyone, I will try and answer your questions. We are getting new flooring. I suppose laminate is what we can do for now. I have no idea on flooring. Ideas?

As for the mirror it is set into the wall.

This is our only bathroom with a tub, no shower and a glass enclosure (I don’t like it, but husband does).
