Help w/ trim for SW Balanced Beige walls
Comments (1)interesting question. My house has medium-stained trim and one of the reasons I dislike them so much and am slowly converting them to painted is because so many wall colors don't go with them! Well, I guess I should rephrase that... so many wall colors that I would like don't go with them. Very light colors are okay. I prefer richer mid-tone warm colors and they just don't work with the mid-tone wood stain. The lighter the better. Good luck....See MoreWhite walls with beige trim color help
Comments (1)Ya know, I'm usually about options, but given what you've got planned there's only one *white* I think I would consider with Pavillion Beige SW7512. It would be an Ellen Kennon Full Spectrum color called "Snow". Mixed in ICI/Dulux Paint's LifeMaster in eggshell for all walls (provided they are not textured) and flat for all ceilings. (Link will open a new window) Full Spectrum Paints May cost you a few bucks more for FS color and two different sheens, but you're renovating the condo to sell it and you're sportin' a chic, albeit unorthodox, color scheme. The one-up of a full spectrum white with the beige trim using a high quality "green" paint would do nothing but help you pull it off and, well, literally sell it. You're trying to get a designer *look* so you may want to consider the advantage of using designer color to do it. Comments (8)Another vote for BM's Simply White. I have white walls, black walls, gray walls and formerly tannish walls, and Simply White works with all of them. It's just a nice, warm white. I'm also a fan of Dover White, although I've never used it for trim. When I first started researching paint, BM's White Dove was the go-to color for trim. I've never tried it, I'm just throwing that out there. It had the reputation of going with anything....See MoreHelp! Which Beige/White Wall Color when using Dover White as Trim
Comments (5)Thank you again for your advice on colors. I love the combination of colors you have chosen. But I feel that again, I have not been very clear. The "landing" I am referring to is on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, in that dark niche outside the two bedrooms, I cannot hang anything because a thermostat was placed on that wall, and the A/C man just confirmed that it cannot be moved without a lot of work and expense. That is very unfortunate!! There is a "landing" on the 2nd floor too, along with a long hallway that connects bedroom to bathroom and study. In my opinion, the color of the stairwell will have to also be the color of the walls on this 2nd floor hall. Walls of study are BM 1077; walls of bathroom are SW Krypton; walls of bedroom are BM 1075. Please let me know if the colors you are showing are BM 1077 and SW Dover White. Those are colors I would like to stick with in my color scheme in general. I just believe I need to go lighter than BM 1077 on the walls of this hallway and on the 1st floor landing....See MoreRelated Professionals
