I wonder if the white windows are the reason you dislike your brick. Perhaps someone with skills can do a rendering for you.

Here's the question: The brick is the only interesting material finish on the house. Why would you paint it?

The siding, the roof, the deck, the foundation are all utilitarian finishes. The brick is the only upgrade, and it's attractive, subtle brick. It's also the only maintenance-free surface on the house (besides foundation, which doesn't count). Why are you changing it to a surface that requires maintenance?

I like that you squared them out. I also like the color, it works with the siding and roof IMO. Are the actual doors in poor shape or is it that you need to sand and stain?

I'm a Realtor not in your area (I can tell from the pics). In my area 30 year old garage doors would be a detriment because of the hurricane codes now in existence that were not there 30 years ago. Check with a trusted, experienced Realtor in your area to find the buyer preferences for your target market. A good Realtor will be able to describe the buyers that will be interested in your home and the features they prefer.

IMO the best way to flip, contrary to many flippers, is to make sure the systems of the house are in good repair: HVAC, roof, electrical, structure. Then work on the cosmetics. One example: you don't want a Federal Pacific electrical panel to eliminate your buyer due to not being able to pass financing. There are other examples. In my area I have seen old roofs eliminate buyers due to financing requirements. Your experienced Realtor will be able to give you guidance along with any inspection report you may have now on the property.

Garage doors appear worth saving. Perhaps having them sand-blasted will remove enough of the damage to allow for a moderate sanding and staining. In my former "flipper" life I always tried to save (if possible) anything that was of a higher quality. A restored wood door / floor is of higher resale value than a metal door / laminate.

Instead of painting the brick, if you still don't like them after having them sand blasted, consider staining them rather than painting them -- that would be a mistake.

Seriously consider extending the deck the full width of the house -- better for use and resale value. alternately, build a covered porch from the deck and wrapping around the corner of the house, stopping at the chimney.

If the deck (or a porch) were extended all the way to the end of the house, the higher ground would mean you'd only need a couple of steps to reach a patio on the end of your home.

justgottabeme has the right idea with painting the foundation and window frames and siding already painted; however, you might consider using CWF or a dark, absorbant stain on the deck top and rails, painting only the posts (even with the foundation) rather than painting the actual deck or using a "solid stain" that looks like paint and, in my experience, doesn't hold up all that well..

Leave the brick. It looks just fine. Extrend the deck over to front door, so you have a proper entrance. Put in some landscaping. I like the original garage doors, but, they do need to be refinished. Either stripped and sanded well, and restained, or sanded well, primered and painted.

Many modern bricks have a surface finish that is applied before firing; sandblasting will blow right through it. Those bricks may not be that color all the way through.

Sandblasting wood blows away the soft growth between each ring and you end up with a horribly damaged surface. Good god.

Sandblasting is an Art. The size of the nozzle and the PSI setting make all the difference, as does the angle of the stream. If you're willing to pay the freight, ground-up walnut shells offer a "softer" blast medium.
