Mojotay, since you are looking to add color to the room I would do stationary drapes on either side of the windows leaving the main window exposed. I would mount the drapes as close to the ceiling as possible and probably would do tab tops. Which you then could use finials instead of rods to hang the drapes. What are your ideas?

For budget reasons we plan on making ours out of piping material so we can make them super long. We have a wall of windows and I want to have sheers and curtains on either end of the room. I would like to be able to use the sheers but will likely never use the curtains. Unless, it is so bright and I want to sit down to watch a good movie and need some coziness.

Hey There: My suggestion is a panel sliding window covering. It should cover the full door including the windows and open in the middle. This way getting in and out of the door is a breeze and you tight the door/window system together. I would do 6 panels in total and a staggering track - this way you can almost clear the complete window when you fully open the blinds - you can also do 8 panels. I was wondering why the odd ceiling, then I figured it must be that the windows are dormer windows. How are you going to dress the other windows? You could leave the upper windows bare.
