I think you need a pop of color somewhere within the look. If everything matches, it just blends entirely too much, including matching close to the skin if you do not have a darker complexion. I'd put the color either in the clutch (though you won't be carrying that every moment) or the earrings - a drop down earring with a bolder stone that will get noticed, but not too large. Just my two cents. If you do it right, you can even do a color pop in both, if they are similar in color.

Snbtwins, your best bet is decide the length of the rod, where you want the panels to start and stop. Since you are having the panels custom made, I would suggest you use that measurement to figure how many lengths or half lengths of fabric you want the panels to be. When I make panels I prefer them to be at least double the width they were cover. Since you will not be closing them, that would be from the edge inside edge of the window trim to the finial. Measure from arrow to arrow and double (or 2.5 times) to get width of finished panel.

I was wondering why the odd ceiling, then I figured it must be that the windows are dormer windows. How are you going to dress the other windows? You could leave the upper windows bare.
