Need Tips on How To Clean Clay Soil from Linoleum Type Tiles
Comments (5)No worries if you can't find it there, just go here: http://www.amazon.com/KRUD-KUTTER-RC32-Remover-32-Ounce/dp/B000RUEE3M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1267501991&sr=8-1 (There's a description of what to use it on) I've used it on just about everything that had a clay stain on it, from concrete garage floor, basement utility concrete floor, stucco, fiberglass, cotton socks, teeshirts (yard work) and tennis shoes. ( Rinse it out of your clothes before adding it to a front loader!) Oh, I also got some clay out of carpet. It says its colorfast... Our stucco wall that was terribly stained and we cleaned all the clay off before painting. It worked beautifully! I don't have linoleum so I haven't tried that, but the description says it works on linoleum. I also go through gallons of the regular krud kutter....love the stuff! Good luck!!...See MoreI want to stain my sanded oak flooring myself, any tips?
Comments (5)Hey Polka! I have been so very blessed with all my contractors, they have come highly recommended and have all been hard workers and so considerate...when I see what others are being charged I get very thankful very quick! I bought the #1 common white oak for $2 per sq. foot (3.25 inch wide) and paid $1.50 per sq. ft to have it laid (they did an amazing job cutting in my flushmount registers and doorways...I would have no problem paying this great floor refinisher to do it all for $2.50 per sq. foot if I knew our home had sold...we're carrying 2 mortgage payments so if I can save the $1500 to do these steps, it will save my poor husband from having to work overtime to pay for it (I mean double overtime, he's already working overtime!) I guess with seeing him work so hard I'm trying to do everything I can to reduce the burden. Plus, we homeschool our kids and I think the hard labor is a good lesson...one it teaches them how hard it is to earn a dollar and makes them appreciate how hard manual labor is and respect those who do it with talent and care. Now, they're not doing too much labor but they do help me paint and enjoy pulling out carpet tacks! :) I'll post the pictures as we get them! Here's a shot of the main living space..we openend up the wall there and it makes it very homey! :)...See MoreEnd sealing IPE? cleaning before sealing?
Comments (10)Unfortunately the wood did not arrive today. Shipping company screw-up. Their delay is costing me a lot of money. Grrrrrrr John, how much information can you condense in four lines? Gosh man, I had to read your response many times to get it through my skull. Ken and John, you guys are awesome. Here is an idea for you: Get together and write a book. I'm sure it'll be a hit. There are gazillion books about Âghow to build a deckÂh. But there are no books about handling different kinds of woods, decking tips, maintaining decks, gazebos, etc! I know you guys donÂft agree on 100% of the issues, but it would better than super cool and advantageous to deck-dummies like myself to see how two top notch experts like you two disagree on few issues and yet agree on so many other ones. IÂfm warning you, if you donÂft do it, IÂfm going to mine your collective experience from this forum and make that book myself. DonÂft worry; you will take most of the royalties ï Thank you again. I will keep you posted as I progress. Surely I will have to keep admiring the framing until the decking material is here. Meanwhile, I'm gonna place the order for RAD. Thank you Ken. Comments (6)I don't know if this helps. But we have brand new carpet in our bedrooms. I can't get behind or under the dressers to vacume without having extra help to pull everything out to vacume under them. And the hose doesn't exactly reach under the beds either. We're talking heavy furniture and it's not easy to move them. The living room is just as bad with many more heavy pieces of furniture and the carpet is old and does not hold up well with stains or spilled soda. You can't get a vacume hose behind or under the sofa to suck up dust and pet hair without moving furniture around. I've tried, but I'm not very coordinated. I'm going to put in wood floors in the hallway, dining and living areas. Not only because they're breathtaking, but because I think to me it would be easier to dust than vacume....See Moreapple_pie_order
