Need advice for direct vent gas fireplace in master bedroom
Comments (5)The very first thing you should do is find a fireplace/stove dealer within say, a 50 mile radius of your home. Not the local garden center or patio center who sells stoves in their off season. Someone who will sell and service them all year round. You want to look for a lifetime warranty if possible. A good shop can advise you on placement, the cost not only of the unit, but the chimney and installation as well....See Moreneed assistance with the curtain style for master bedroom
Comments (9)You can certainly do roman blinds. As an option, I like the Hunter Douglass Silhouette shades. If you are a do it yourself type of person you can buy a very similar shade for less and install it yourself from American Blinds. You might consider those for privacy and light blocking. I've got them in a very traditional house, but I think they would work well in a more modern application, too. I would suggest curtain panels for each side of the each of the windows. They should be hung above the top of the windows and full length to the floor....See MoreHow would you guys style this master bedroom?
Comments (1)I would start by placing the bed on the far, empty wall, with two small end tables. It will be the focal point as you walk into the room, and you won't be looking straight into the bathroom from the bed. The wall with the main door can be used for a dresser, or two armchairs, depending on your needs. Get a roman shade for the window, mounted at the ceiling, so you get full light when it is up, and will look proportional to the wall when down. Do both your doors into the bathroom and closet swing in? You might consider a barn door, at least on the closet, to give you more space inside....See MoreDesign Direction: MASTER BEDROOM WALL PAPER TOO YELLOW?
Comments (9)Thank you Patricia I let her talk me into it. I found out after when I bought it . I was sad to see the man hand her a check. I payed 1400.00 to buy and to tear down the next day. I hated it. I am so so mad that I let her convince me it was going to be as she said"DREAMY". It was dreamy but my dreams were night mares. Please help me now start fresh. I orderd that bed because I sold my house in hamptons and wanted my old bedroom set . In that beach house it was gorgeous. Here 5 years later and special order it is very cheap version and I cannot change . My husband wants to keep it. I agree I didnt want the night stands husband wanted nightstand.s If I did anything It would be to paint over the grey inside with shabby paints. But lets move forward. Now that I tore it down. I have a blank canvas. I feel like a fool to trust her decorator;s advice and go against my gut feeling yellow was always wrong. Here are my related spaces right from the living room you can see this and the yellow was garrish and it looked like baby diaper gold. lol MY whole original theme was to do an amazing wallpaper that made you go wow! I still can because they took off the wallpaper and it is preppred now for wall paper or I have to prep for paint (more costly but I can go that way) My condo on the beach I forget to mention it was california king and I orderd just king and it looks so little kids and this looked gorgeous in my beach home....See MoreUser
