Where to buy bathroom faucets/fixtures online?
Comments (14)We just completed a Master Bath reno, and I bought all my major plumbing fixtures at faucet.com and faucetdirect.com (they are sister companies under the build.com umbrella, which also has lighting.com, etc.) I can't say enough positive things about the customer service I received there. If you call them (vs order online), you will be given a specific person to be your contact, which is helpful. However, even when I did not speak specifically w/ my contact guy, I received prompt, helpful, polite service. Fast shipping, huge selection, able to track my packages, just had a great experience. (Disclaimer: I have no affiliation w/ the websites listed above, just wanted to promote a business that appears to be truly customer-oriented) Oh, and they will price match other websites. I only needed to do that w/ one of my orders and they promptly took care of that for me....See MoreWhat type of faucets would you buy for bathroom?
Comments (5)Asolo......good point. I've never had what you call '1/4-turn' handles. It does seem you'd be able to push or pull using the back of your hand or wrist. That's the style we prefer anyway, but I was just wondering if we'd be happier with the style with only 1 control, like we plan to get in the kitchen. And I agree, we're going with a pull-out sprayer in the kitchen.....definitely! Thanks for your ideas. homebound.....fortunately, since we're doing such a huge renovation, we're getting builder prices on all of our plumbing fixtures from the higher end plumbing stores. So far we've been happy with the prices they've quoted us. Overall though, I'm quite amazed at how much faucets cost in general. Personally, I don't care what is considered high end or low end. :-) I just want good functionality, and I'm trying to decide what would work better for us. I've never had 1 control in a bathroom. I've always had separate hot/cold faucets. But they've been the knob style, and I hate them. Perhaps the newer styles would work better for us....See MoreWill this faucet fit my bathroom sink?
Comments (2)Most likely it will fit, unless your existing sink has a too-small mounting hole for the new faucet (but that is unlikely). However, if you are not knowledgeable about plumbing you might want to get some help from a handy friend as removal of the old faucet might be a challenge if you are inexperienced and lack proper tools. For example, if the space up under the the back of the sink is tight you might need a basin wrench to remove to get at the fittings and remove the old faucet. Basin Wrench Also, you may need adapter fittings for the hot and cold water lines if the existing fittings don't match those from the new faucet.I'm not trying to discourage you, but simply trying to prepare you for the unexpected....See MoreAnyone have a single trough sink w/2 faucets in master bathroom?
Comments (46)I'm planning on doing this in the next few months. Have had the sink picked out for a couple of years! Wanted to put two faucets in the wall, but husband is adamantly against it. So I guess I will make do with them mounted in the countertop. I see some nice ones online. The sink is about 30" wide, and has no faucet holes. Cabinet is 54", and there is no room for anything larger. I think we can do with about a foot of counter space each on either side. Better than one small sink/faucet. Frankly, I think it will be a huge improvement, even for resale. Even undermount oval sinks would take up about 20" each, leaving only 14" for the space between, and the spaces on either side. I think that would look ridiculous. :)...See Morejillybean103
