In the process of building our new home. Where and how would you guys recommend furniture for the living room area. There is a large rock fireplace center with French doors on each side. Tv most likely on fire place. No clue how to arrange furniture for this large space. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!!!

Sofa on long window wall will look and feel the best and make the room inviting when you walk into it from the front entry. TV on the short wall opposite the sofa; pay to have the wiring redone and move on......you cannot make the space bigger but you can make work well....PS what and where do the stairs go? Do you have an upstairs? What are the dimensions of the living/dining room and kitchen.

I would prefer to see actual pics of the space , a table and chairs there really make no sense at all why not a nice console table with a couple of stoold below it for seating when removing or putting on shoes or boots a piece of art on the wall to the left of the closet and a nice rug.

Keep in mind the main pathways in your space. They should be a minimum of 36" between a hard surface (wall or table edge) and furniture. If you can do 42"-48" it's even better. This will allow the door to open and people to pass freely while someone is sitting. Same thing needs to be considered by the island.
