white paint to go with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold Countertops
Comments (67)Hi Ashley, Beau Beautiful kitchen! I believe your countertop is the silestone Calcutta Eternal Gold? i really like your backsplash and I’m having difficulties picking one. Do you remember who makes it or where you purchaed it?...See MoreChoosing backsplash to match cabinets and countertops
Comments (35)granted it is hard to match white....but i would stay just one pigment saturation level away from light. In other words you can tilt toward taupe, beige, gray but stay light in the intensity. There is a lot of dark with floors...the ceilings are not high, even with skylight...and you have plentiful amt of upper cabinets. keep the backsplash light...does not have to be boring, but I would lean to more light tonality. Have you thought of two themes?.....that secondary area left of fridge keeps calling out as in placing decorative inserts or pencil strip..something like that [small and subtle]...if the work area perimeter was just basic subway field tile. [Re white:Don't assume you can't find the right white-can be nice too if you are ruthless-your white theme really works so far]...See MoreAdvice on Silestone’s Calacatta Gold countertops
Comments (8)Hi! Being totally honest, I don’t love them together. The mix of warm and cool doesn’t quite jive. The patterns on all of the different stones compete and would be too busy for my taste. Are you planning to remove the 4” granite backsplash? If so, you may need to replace the tile backsplash anyways. If you are set on the calacatta gold, I’d pair with a simpler backsplash. If you are keeping the current backsplash, I would do a solid colour countertop. Let us know what you decide!...See MoreFormica River Gold: Artsy and Cool. or too weird to use? :)
Comments (50)rebecca, that came out really good. I remember when you were debating on that formica. It actually looks like stone in the pic! nice choice. love the cab colors too. If you guys are the least bit handy, what I think would really make a nice diff is to make a fridge surround. YOu might be able to gain a little storage on top too. YOu can either buy them, or make one from plywood. you see how the side would look next to the cabinets? sstore wine, cookbooks, put baskets up there, lots of options. and on the other side, you could do a corkboard or hooks for hanging, maybe even simple storage for a broom....See Moreleelee
