Sudden top wilting and black patches on tomato leaves

I'm growing some tomatoes in containers, Zone 3b and I noticed yesterday that just the very top of the new growth on my Black Krim had started to wilt. The soil was still moist just below the surface so I didn't water it anymore, suspecting overwatering. It's been hot and humid here lately.

Today it started to rain (not much at all, but still not helpful), and I saw that not only has more of the Black Krim started to wilt (still only the tops), but many of the tomato plants next to it have started to wilt at the very tops as well. The Black Krim has also developed black patches on the leaves so I separated it from the others.

The fruit, while unripe, seems fine, and the stems also appear to be ok. The soil looks dry in the picture because I added some more potting mix to the top yesterday since it was a bit low, but the soil is still damp less than an inch down.

I've never encountered this before, so any advice would be great, thanks!
