Monday FFO and repeats

Another cooler than normal morning.

FLYING TRAPEZE - not impressed with it so far. 3 blooms opened. Some tall scapes and short ones.

SPRING MYSTIQUE - got it for hybridizing several years ago. Will leave this year as it produces minimal scapes and buds but a good one for hybridizing.

INCA PUZZLE - shorter than normal but I love the colors it produces.

CERISE MASTERPIECE - very few scapes, small amount of buds. Better off in a hotter zone.

BETTY SPAGETTI - very tall this year.

Sorry about so many in the sun but my garden is what it is. I need more shade.

MAKE IT SNAPPY - something got to the top bloom sepals.

LONG LEGGED LAP DANCER - I hate the name but love the blooms.

LAVENDER BLUE BABY - so dark today

BLACK FALCON RITUAL - Never fails to perform. Second pic is whole plant

OH GREAT ONE - not so great

ORANGE OVERLOAD -

PRETTY DESIRABLE - curls in cooler weather

Stopping here and I have plenty more for another day.

Yes, Snowflake Empress always has perfect flowers. It is not so ornate as Victorian Lace, but a sturdy and reliable plant. I too got Part-Time Princess as a bonus and am glad that it has bloomed well; haven't seen mine yet. (Judy seems to like these girlie names--Pink High Heels, Part-Time Princess.)

Kate, when you build those new beds, they will fill up quickly, I know--it will be "hemaholic heaven" when the blooms start. Sherry, whatever space is available is just fine for the daylilies so we can get those beatiful blooms. To all of you who like Jean Swann, there are four plants and with this many blooms, there is fragrance, too. Jean was ordered about ten years ago from a catalog--I believe the cost was $18 for three plants--I laugh now, for at that time I thought that was a lot of money for daylilies. The fourth plant came when Jean produced a proliferation, the only one we have ever seen. Celeste, I hope Katherine Caldwell does as well for you as it has here. I just wish our Stargate Portal was as pretty as yours. Our plant is really puny for some reason, but we will wait and hope it gets better as it gets older. Kay, I saw the picture of Jan Zoo that Julie Covington posted a few years ago and just had to get one. I actually had some trouble finding a source, but mine came from Bonnie Nichols of Oak Hill Daylilies. I also got Sunny Intervals and Katherine Caldwell from her, plus a number of other of our daylilies came from her.

I love Sweet Isabella especially. Galaxy Explosion is a charmer too. Reblooms are nice, especially when unexpected. Wild One is another that has never rebloomed before, but it has a scape now. kay

Lot of pretty ones here. I'm impressed at how large your clump of Black Falcon Ritual is, and it really looks black in your garden. Pretty Desirable has good color in your garden. I've never seen the petals roll here. I guess the heat prevents it. Spring Mystique has a great pattern. I can see it's value in hybridizing. Claudine is even more charming as a poly!

Julia, I t, too, relly like the blooms on Long Legged Lap Dancer. Claudine's Charm is especially lovely as a poly. Black Falcon Ritual is such a good plant. your clump will be blooming a while with all the buds...I have had Flying Trapeze for several years, and really like it. I like the way the blooms seem to move on the tall scapes...the magnolia tree has shaded mine an dis htting a deep haircut.

Your blooms look wnderful.

Black a Falcon Ritual looks great today, you’ll be enjoying it for quite awhile! Lavender Blue Baby is stunning today. I have look into that one.

Make it Snappy is a striking color with the darker purple. Long Legged Dancer is nice too. Agree about the name though.....Orange Overload looks interesting, but the color isn't very pronounced in your picture. Hope you get another shot of it. I like the orange ones..........Maryl

Black Falcon Ritual just started blooming here, new this spring, and I am so impressed with it. Mine does not look nearly as dark as yours though. Love seeing your photo of High Water Mark, that is new for me this spring and I don't think it is going to bloom this year. Gives me something to anticipate for next year though. Claudine's Charm is very pretty as a poly.

Great photo of Claudine’s Charm as a poly! Glad you got a photo of that bloom. Flying Trapeze and Lavender Blue Baby look good, I have considered adding both of those. Impressive clump of Black Falcon Ritual.
