Hello people of Houzz, I am new to this forum and am seeking just a few color combinations and ideas for the new apartment I will be moving into next month. I am a young male searching for a design that is masculine but also not boring or bland, and affordable. I apologize for the terrible pictures, and when I move in with the furniture that I will have on move in day, I will post my own pictures to get a more accurate view. However, I would just like to get ideas for experts and those with a better eye than I have regarding colors or furniture to match.

I purchased this bed frame and dresser from Rooms To Go to be delivered to the apartment (looks better in person). Initially, I didn't want the dresser but I got a good deal for both which is why I decided with it.

I'm having difficulty deciding what color sheets to compliment the frame and what nightstands could go with it. I would prefer navy blue or gray (or a mixture of the two) bedding but I am terrible at picturing in my head how to layer them, especially against the black bed frame. I also wanted to purchase night stands that would mix and match but have nooo idea what colors would go well with it. I could just stick to black nightstands but I feel the room would seem too bland.

My bedroom will look similar to this (picture from my apartment's gallery), but with more length from the bathroom door to the window.

If anyone has even any ideas or input, that would be greatly appreciated!
