jen9 - I like the Lucinda. It's very similar to the West Elm but larger I think. Arapaho - thank you for all the links - nice tables. I do need one with 24-26" diameter for the tabletop. Based on some of the comments, I started looking for a square table and found this one by Aiden Gray side table. It's similar to my coffee table but perhaps not too much of a match. Love the parquet wood but of course it's too much $$. I also wonder if the narrow legs would look okay between 2 large couches or if I need a table with more mass. I did find this site that has a tutorial for making a table top. DH is very DIY and has all the tools so I may ask if he's up to the project. Just need to find a base. Ok. Well my black lamp shade arrived today. I think it's a little too short. I do believe I'm going to change the harp out. It's royally bent anyhow. Notice the crooked shade. Fact - the small table is 20" tall. I think I'm going to change the harp out on the new lamp also and make it a bit shorter. Still obviously need a different shade. The CL lyre table is 22 1/2" Not much taller than the above table. Just checked my email and NEVERMIND IT'S GONE. :( Oh well. Fact - Round table height is 27"H x 22"W I think the black shade lamp looks too tall with the round table? Lamp is 34" I'd rather not part with that lamp. *Note I'm going to buy candle stick things for the arms. Here's a picture with the wingchair and table straight instead of at an angle. I think I like this better. After looking at these pics it's not perfectly straight but you get the idea. My thoughts were to keep the round table where it was in front of the window. Get a different table for beside the loveseat that's not quite as tall.? Does the room look cluttered? Thoughts?

I would remove the white TV surround/cabinet completely. and hang the TV on the wall over a low console. The current TV unit both overwhelms and dates the room. Then I would go with dark wood tables but in a more transitional style to update a bit. I'd also remove that big scrolly piece of metal art from the living room wall. Nice room!

I'm a fan of #2. I always like the look of two club chairs side by side like that. I think having them together as one unit balances out the heft of a sofa and the huge TV. I agree that it makes sense to focus on the coffee table first. Are there any textures in your room? If everything is just flat wood, paint, and upholstery, I'd suggest a coffeetable that has a bit or texture or reflectivity to it. What kind of books are you looking to store in this room? I got a three tired brass and glass coffee table from West Elm recently and it is a fantastic place to display 12 huge art books. Better than a bookshelf. When people sit on the sofa, they actually gaze that the books, pull them out and read them. I like that.
