Need advice re: painted kitchen cabinets....

Hi. I recently had some new kitchen cabinets installed; they're a beautiful blue and I love them, they look great. There was a small "ding" in one of the upper cabinet doors, however, and so a replacement was sent although it hasn't been installed. The new door was painted in a different batch so the color is a teeny tiny bit different; it's very subtle but I do see it. At this point, I'm inclined to keep the existing, slightly "dinged" door in place. I'd add a picture but the colors are hard to gauge in the image. I was told that any difference would be eliminated once the new door had been up for awhile but the new one is lighter and...will it really darken after it's been up? Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I know this is a pretty specific question...
