Which pattern for backsplash - staggered brick or herringbone?

I'd like to use this 3x8 tile (pic below, as found in advertising material, please ignore the colour), but I'm not sure if it would look better laid out in a herringbone or staggered brick pattern. The kitchen is small but long, and the backsplash won't go much higher than the level of the uppers in the photo, as the stove has a large under cabinet rangehood.

Not concerned about colour here (while will probably be cream, over cream granite), so much as the pattern - for 3x8 non-rectified ceramic tile, in this space, would staggered brick or herringbone work better? Thanks!
