Dinning Chairs or even a nice bench. fun, comfortable and have a see thru effect for fireside dinning. different rug might help

PRO6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoLovely home. This bench by Seisenberger echoes your stairs and the Clear Square Chair by Brickell gives you the aesthetic you're looking for. Would be fun to put the bench across from the 4 chairs. I like the rug you already have, but you might want to consider a cowhide rug off to the side:

Comments (75)Sorry Malika, I don't know where I found that painting. :-( I just copied the image from the google images search I did. Maybe type in the exact wording I mentioned in my post earlier and see if that image comes up. I don't know if it's the perfect painting for your room, I just picked it because it was one of the first paintings that caught my eye. I liked that the colors in it were softer and more muted, yet was still very colorful which you seem to be drawn too. That's too funny that I imagined you having a betta and that's what you have! Comments (13)Your note to me said the “pedestals” are coral…as in real deal coral? Just trying to work with the pieces for you, as the pairing of the chairs and the coral shape are at odds. .Let’s say you used a fabric like this and painted the chairs either black or white, in a high gloss finish. Okay, not a bad combo, but the problem is now the chairs and table do not go in your dining room…everything would have to change…wall color, wall decor (not a huge problem there) and chandelier and a rug. Would the dining room then work with the rest of the house? IMO, the chairs are great…solid, quality and you can still paint them for your room. You can even keep the glass top, but the coral would have to go. It could be replaced with Chippendale base, in the style of this rattan one: eBay for $99.00! 6 years agoThank you so much for your comments. Love the cowhide rug idea! The floors are a very soft maple. Had a dinning chair on rollers previously and when I sat down and rolled the floor had roller divots. Unfortunately I think I need a rug but its not right, needs more!
