When you say the entire front entry way -- do you mean the entire vertical column to the roof -- or just the lower portion with the arch up to the horizontal break line? Either way -- I would go lighter (just the opposite of your idea - sorry). Just like the windows are trimmed in white drawing you to notice them -- I would lighten the entrance area. Alternatively, consider an Exterior Glaze tinted with a slightly Darker Grey (or any color for that matter). This can be applied evenly ... or applied evenly and then brushed over with a clean push-broom (no kidding). The Darker Grey (or accent color) will settle in your stucco pattern but the under Grey color will still show thru making your entrance a subtle difference from everything else but tied together. Long and involved idea (sorry) but I've done this stucco application many, many times with fabulous results (for large interior areas). Yes ... new stucco, or patches on old stucco, is very alkaline and needs to completely cure and for the surface to get washed off a few times. It's often painted too early to save the builder time and mponey, which is why you see newish houses with peeling paint.

I'll also add that I've considered Dunn Edwards Crisp Muslin or Fine Grain as well.

I've sampled quite a few on my stucco. Looking for creamy off white, I love the modern off white homes with dark trim and windows but can't nail down the color they use. I also don't want bright white and Alabaster is also too white for me. Got it down to Creamy, White Duck and Shoji White, but still none of them look like the modern paint color everyone is using, which may be White Dove or Simply White which is great on farmhouse modern, but mine is not farmhouse style plus I have a ton of large trees, it sits in the sun all day, so I may go out and get more samples..I've spent a fortune on those things.
