4" marble hex tiles on the floor too large with 3 x 6 subway tiles?

I've looked at a ton of different hex tiles and the ones I like best are from Stone Tile International. The local dealer for them only carries the 4" hex. They are beautiful but I'm concerned that they will visually take over my small 7 x 8 bathroom where I planned on 3 x 6 subway tile. The scale seems off. I wondered if when it was grouted whether that would make a difference. I could go to a longer subway and maybe that would help, something like a 3 x 12? Or should I give up the marble and do a smaller porcelain hex. My other option would be a larger gray tile set on a diagonal (which I'm afraid might look to modern in my 40's cape cod). Shouldn't be this hard!!!
