They are new garlic bulblets. Idea is: when the top falls over with age the new bulblet(s) will hit the ground and grow into new plants thereby starting a new generation. You might want to plant them instead of eating them.... which you could also do.

They are small garlic bulbs. Some varieties tend to to this more than others. I have one variety that does it every year without fail; Inchilinem Red I believe. Yes the garlic is fine to eat as are the little bulbils.

KInd of looks like a scapes or 2 that got trapped in the stem. But yes, it is still edible.

They are bulbils and are fine. You can plant them but they might not grow into a big bulb in one season but you could harvest them as green garlic.

Those are stem cloves, a fairly common occurrence. They do not affect the edibility of the bulb. I've had them appear in my artichoke (soft neck) garlic, sometimes on nearly every plant. The larger ones can be planted just like bulb cloves, they will usually grow a small bulb the first year.

It's not a problem. It's a few stem bulbils. They are mostly found in softneck varieties, especially if environmental conditions are out of the ordinary....at least that's what the literature lists as a cause. It seems like every year you can think of some weather event that occurred over the many months garlic takes to grow that could be the cause :) Yet I've only seen stem bulbils a couple of years in my garlic.

You can plant them if you want when you plant your "normal" cloves. The bulbils are often large enough to grow into decent bulbs the following year.

Looks like additional cloves growing up the stem or flower stalk. Did it send out a scape? Additional cloves/bulbs growing atop a stem or scape is not unusual for other alliums, especially Egyptian Walking Onions, but I have never seen it on garlic. Definitely edible unless this garden is near Chernobyl.

These are bulbils (cloves) and are edible with the rest of the plant. It can happen after a really cold winter. It's a survival mechanism.
