I live on a sunrise shore and took my camera out the other morning with my coffee, not knowing what I would see. The photo surprised me.

thistledew, those hats are awesome. My fil had cancer he was always so cold. I'm sure the ladies who get these will be thrilled. They are pretty colors and cute.

Oh thistledew those are awesome. I was just recently asking on my nextdoor for locations to find hats for cancer patients. One of my best friends, I posted about her a while back, is always cold. Especially when she has to go in for a day long treatment. I wish I had the ability to make such lovely things. You have a wonderful gift! I know the recipients love them. Thank you for your generous gifts.

Nice work thistledew and for such a worthy cause. I've been making blankets for Project Linus and it is rewarding work for sure.

I will have to google Project Linus. I love creating with my own hands for people. Maybe I will have to add that one too! I got into jewelry making awhile back and made the ladies in a nursing home/physical rehab center where I was at for a while after my leg amputation. They were so thrilled when they opened up their little gift bag with a necklace and bracelet inside with some other little perfumes and smell goodies that other ladies had donated. I do not know why but when I finish donating to the cancer patients and nursing home recipients or even the premie babies I cry when I get to the car. I cannot help myself. I am not crying because I am selfish and want the items back, but thinking of the people who recieve them makes me cry. SO WEIRD. My husband says I should not be crying but I cannot help it. He laughs at me. LOL

Of course it's fine that you cry, thistledew. It's a very emotional thing you're doing both for them and for yourself. If you need that relief and expression, have at it.

I went for a walk today and saw a family with a young child who was really bawling his eyes out. I thought of how often I wished as an adult, I could just let go like that and let it all out...especially when I was working! There were many times I'd like to have screamed my fool head off! :)

Love all the pictures! Wish I had an orderly vegetable garden like that and the hats are just beautiful. Not a great picture, but my husband found this poor beetle on the asphalt in the Lowe’s parking lot. Wonder where it came from, it’s all industrial there. He rode home in style. At least it wasn’t a kitten.

I would have wrecked the car if I had glanced over and saw that huge beetle in the car with me. Oh my!

I tried to learn to knit many years ago, when I learned to crochet, but I never could get the hang of it, although crocheting is easy for me. I wonder if I could learn to loom knit, is it anything like regular knitting?

Rusty, I know anyone can loom knit. It is nothing like needle knitting. I learned from Youtube. Loomahat is the best to learn from in my opinion. I used her videos and now that I have learned I use many others. I love loom knitting and I also crochet too, but loom knitting is FAST.

Rusty, also on Facebook there is a forum called Loom knitting for beginners. I am on there and those people will help you a lot. I try to help others but there are ladies and men on there that are more experienced than I am that can help you. There are other forums on facebook for loom knitters, crochet, and sewing. I am on all as I like it all.
