Finished Bathroom Pics (two bathrooms!)--very pic heavy
Comments (41)Wooo!!! Cat, I am stuck at home because of the snow storm so wandered around here not looking at anything in particular and came upon your thread. I totally agree with you on the shower curtain choice. Regardless of whether I have the money to spare or not, keeping those suckers clean is a nuisance over time. We have a glass shower door that was installed back in 2003 and I can't tell you how much I hate cleaning it. Not that the door is all that dirty, but a shower curtain is way easier, and you can change the look/style whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a pricey shower door. Anyway, everything looks lovely as usual, including the "prom" dress :-) Love, love those circular tiles, and the floor tiles that look like fabric. Gorgeous. What colour is that again? It looks greyish on my monitor....See MorePlease help me design my small accessible/universal designed bathroom
Comments (4)Contractors do not design. They build. You need an actual K&B designer. You have a very restrictive space to get all that you want without turning it into a wet room. You, and your husband especially, need to educate yourself on modern waterproofing systems and how a wet room is properly created. The Schluter system will offer a lifetime warranty if their products are used from start to finish, including their thinset. Look at their YouTube channel. And don’t be so sure that your choice tractor can actually do this properly. Especially if he hasn’t had the wetroom and waterproofing conversation with you. Read below, and have a tough conversation with him on all points raised. https://www.ceramictilefoundation.org/homeowners-guide-to-hiring-qualified-tile-installer...See MoreFaucet for a very small bathroom sink ?
Comments (4)Yes, go to qualitybath.com or build.com or even look here on Houzz. Go to Bathroom Sink Faucets. Find the dropdown that gives you lots of choices for limiting your search and start clicking them off. You should find one for the reach of the faucet that will allow you to limit it to the size you need. Your should aim for it to drop the water near the drain in the sink, so get the measurement on how far the drain is from the hole(s) for the faucet off of the Specification Sheet on the sink's website. Plug that range into the search parameters at the faucet website. Add in things like what metal finish you want, number of holes, and so on. There are lots of other bathroom sites that will give you faucets to consider. Allmodern.com (a Wayfair company), eFaucets.com, faucetdirect.com Another option is to go to the Starcraft Custom Builders Faucet Reviews site and start reading. They are very particular about faucets meeting the lead standards and will clearly tell you if a brand does not. You can read their reviews of faucet companies and then decide which you like and go to their sites and see if they have a faucet that will fit. Be aware that a lot of foreign made faucets do not meet our lead standards and should not be sold here in the US, but still are sold. Remember that you will need room for the drain lever between the faucet and the wall if you get one with the little pull-up rod. Also remember to account for the water control lever movement if you have a tight space. A lot of us got the pop-down drains where we just push on the drain stopper to plug the drain and again to open it. No lever needed....See MoreVery small bathroom -- paint color
Comments (0)I'm renovating my 8' x 10' apartment bathroom. It has an 11' ceiling but virtually no natural light. The shower/tub area will be floor to ceiling white subway tile/light gray grout. The floor tile is light gray with some white in it (pic). The pedestal sink and toilet are white. I want to introduce some color via the wall paint. All I can come up with is silvery blue. (pic -- all similar colors from Benjamin Moore -- Silver Mist, Beacon Gray and Mt Rainier Gray). Does any one have any paint color suggestions? Needs to be light-ish color. Thank you!...See MoreRelated Professionals
