Weeping willow turned brown all of a sudden

I have a weeping willow that I purchased from Lowes 4 years ago and planted myself. For the last 4 years it has done great, and doubled in size. This year, however, not nearly as many leaves came on, it hasn't grown at all, and then all of a sudden around the first week of June the leaves rapidly turned yellow, then brown. Now all the leaves are brown. None of the branches are dead, they do not snap when bent, they are green if scratched, and most of the branches are green.

The ground is very moist around the base of the tree... so moist that I can easily stick my entire finger in the soil. The tree is planted in what I would call a grassy ravine, where the bottom of two hills meet. It is in southwest Ohio. It is up against a southern tree-line, but it gets lots of sun.

Is there any hope of saving this tree? Any suggestions?

Thanks
