Kitchen faucet replacement

I have had a Rohl: Modern Architectural Side Lever Pulldown Kitchen Faucet in Satin Nickel - LS59L-STN-2 since 2013, and we have had three major issues with this faucet requiring replacing the spout, the hose, on different occasions. We have now been dealing with a leak around the hose under the sink. I think I am ready to throw in the towel on this faucet, and am looking for recommendations. We are heavy kitchen users, and need a super reliable pulldown large faucet. Thought to ask here for any recs.

I don't have a specific one, but I have always liked my Moen faucets. Not sure they make what you like, though. I think Kohler is quite reliable.

I considered a Waterstone pull down faucet. The reviews from users here were stellar. I wound up with a Dornbracht Meta, so no pull down (I went with the Meta because I wanted that shape- not because of the pull down vs side spray issues.)

Sink is two bowls, so 2 drains, garbage disposal on one. I can do the faucet; not worried about that (installer drills the holes). Not getting new cabinets, just counters. And the sink is on a peninsula, so don't have to get in the wall. The installer will install the sink in the granite, but won't hook it up to the plumbing. We're supposed to wait 24 hours to do that. I'm thinking it would not be a good idea to attempt myself?

I have disassembled the faucet valve(s) and simply removed the material blocking the ports. Obviously, you would shut off the main water supply to do this. At that time, you could add shutoffs under the sink.

I have two KWC pull-out faucets. They're not exactly cheap, but they are one of the best faucets you can buy. If you've ever used a good faucet, like KWC or Grohe, you'll never go back to a "cheap" faucet. I think it's important to have good faucets on sinks you use a lot, like the kitchen and master bath. I have a less expensive faucet on my laundry sink. Here's my KWC Luna faucets: It pulls out to over 2 feet, which is handy for filling my coffeemaker or a large pot on the stove. You press down on the cap/top to change to spray, and it reverts to stream when you shut the water off. You don't have to hold a button down for continuous spray, like some faucets. I realize this isn't a high arc faucet like you want, and it's probably more than you want to spend (I paid over $250 in 2004), but I'm very happy with mine and thought I'd recommend it.

Sincere thinks to you all for the feedback. After doing more sink research, I found out that the new sink's cutout size had the smallest cutout size of all for the double-basin SS sinks I was looking at. I bit the bullet and found a handyman who came out to enlarge (dry cut with a shop vac) the granite. He was able to do it in <30 minutes., just by cutting 2 sides. It did cause a lot of dust, even with us prepping the kitchen area by removing everything from the counters, open food items, plus hanging plastic tarps on all sides of the kitchen to contain the dust to the area. The edge of the cabinet under the granite got slightly damaged but is still hidden, and the sink now sits flush to the countertop.

I agree with Rita. Waterstone is an amazing brand with a lifetime mechanical warranty. I have sold thousands of Waterstone faucets with an extremely low incidence of warranty issues. Make sure you buy from a Waterstone approved dealer or there will be no warranty. Many sold on Amazon and the like will have no warranty.

I'm surprised you have had so much trouble with a Rohl. I have a Perrin & Rowe faucet - made by the same company - now for 15 years and it's still in perfect condition.

When you say you are "heavy kitchen users", do you mean use or "abuse"? I'm not criticizing! Many people and their family are just very hard on a kitchen. It's all about ones "style" in the kitchen.

Waterstone faucets are lovely - they are also VERY pricey. Perhaps you'd be better off with Delta or other brand where replacement parts are easy to come by - maybe even a commercial faucet.

I installed a Rohl faucet recently. I install a lot of faucets and was not impressed at all.
