I think I figured out the site posting problem.....

I just did a post, Sunday's blooms. It posted and then wasn't in the forum. I went to my profile, clicked on the post [it was there] and discovered it went to garden and to design dilemma. I clicked edit, then went to the bottom and clicked next, on the left side it gave me options to post to. I unchecked the 2 places it went, and checked Daylilies and there it was.

Those of you with a missing post or more, it is probably somewhere else! You can find it in your profile.

So the answer, for now anyway, is be sure you are on the daylily forum and nowhere else before you post.

Here is how to be sure to go to daylilies first every time. Bookmark the daylily forum to the bookmark menu which is at the top of your web browser.

That wasn't my problem. I couldn't add photos within my post at all yesterday. Earlier in the week, some days there was no submit button to use. And other days I just got theblinking ... for as long as a half hour without my topic posting.

I was always in the daylily forum when I posted including about thirty minutes ago. /disgusted, I went to facebook and posted an album of 16 photos in about five minutes. And why do you suppose they chose to go from simply post to next and then post which does not work?

Hi Mary! I want to grow them for the butterflies too! I've read that you can use ethanol cider (?) to soak them, on a heat mat. The website is easywildflowers.com, go into butterfly host plants, then into passion flower. I have no idea what ethanol cider is; checked online-very vague discriptions. anybody know; it's probably going to be something very simple like pure apple juice! I too have read that they can take up to a year to germinate! I'm going to plant mine as soon as I get more soil. Oh, did I mention WS yellow echinacea on my mile long post? Yeah, it's out there!! I planted 7 Galeux d'Eysines seeds last May & now have at least 25 huge beautiful squash on the vine. Prolific & still going strong in the Rockies mid-Sept. A wondrous delicate flavored, French of course, pumpkiny squash. I have loads of seeds.

Congrats on the 46 pounds. I agree with you about the fact that we overweight types need to watch and count what we are eating, and that's a permanent thing. I just ran across the Hacker's diet, by John Walker. Not much really new in that book, but being an engineer, I could relate to his way of explaining it. Anyway, what he says is that we lack the feedback mechanism that some have to naturally control their weight. It's like being nearsighted. If you are nearsighted, you have to wear glasses. If we quit wearing glasses, we won't be able to see, and if we quit watching our weight, we will get fat again. I was also going to say that the tile looks a little pink or peach on my monitor, and I'm not sure if it's the right undertone for your granite. I also like calm backsplashes (especially with busier granite), but I like it to have a little variation. I think a variation in honed and polished sounds great. I'll personally miss your backsplashes when you make a decision. It's always fun to see what you've found.

Same here. I figured out early in the format change that the topic forum would be important and made sure the daylily forum was only one checked. Pictures would post, not post, disappear and if they did stay, as Debra said, just sit blinking with no posting occurring. Reading on some of the other garden forums, many others are experiencing the same problems. Those "rose people" are most unhappy!! Hopefully this will be worked through soon.

Looks to me like I was the first to have problems early in the week. A day or two and everything worked out. Hope things get back to normal for everyone soon. Sometimes I wonder if users with older software have the most problems with these “updates”

I haven't tried to post in weeks, but what Debra described happened to me before. I'd post something and the "submit" button wouldn't be there to "finish" the deal. As I said, these Houzz people who decide to change gardening programming right in the middle of gardening season, are not concerned with what's going on outdoors....Maryl

My post disppeared before I even got ready to submit. I had trouble a few weeks ago, typing out a post, getting ready to submit, and there was no submit button. I copied my post, opened the thread again and pasted, the submit button would be there the 2nd try. That problem lasted a week. the only posts I have problems with now are when I try to submit pictures.

As you say, Maryl, why oh why did they not do this in February. They could have asked us to test it out and I would not be nearly as upset.
