Best Sealer for porous granite?

My first time with granite...we installed new river white granite 2 months ago and had I known how porous it was beforehand I would have chosen a different route. We applied Stonetech Bulletproof sealer after . We lathered the sealer & kept it wet for 20 min. However we didnt wipe it completely off before it dried (per instructions )so had to go back & scrub residue off later. Afterwards, we still saw that water would soak & discolor the granite until it dried & now have noticed 4 small stains on it. (One from coffee, a strawberry, oil & a tomato sauce). All tiny , but it's only been 2 months & at this rate the granite will never last! Does anyone recommend a better sealer? Or did we not apply the Stonetech correctly & should try reapplying it? Suggestions? Pros?

Thanks will give it a try. Can it be used over another sealer applied a couple months ago?

I've been selling or fabricating stone for 12 years. We torture tested dozens of brands of sealer side by side. There's only one that has exceeded all our expectations, and that's the lifetime sealer from Surface Treatment Technologies. My own mother purchased a stone that's known for staining if it's not cleaned up every night. Prior to STT we would recommend 6 coats of sealer on this nightmare product (and know that wasn't even enough). The STT sealing system involves two types of product (one sinks in deep, and the other only for top 2 millimeters). Mom's c-top has been in for over a year, and is behaving just like the torture tested samples from years ago. GREAT PRODUCT ! Here is a link that might be useful: granite sealer

I have white diamond which is considered porous but it means nothing as apparently we have a good sealer. I have a family who spills stuff and doesn't wipe it up. I find dried/stuck on stuck everyday, honey, coffee, strawberry juice,. protein mix, etc and everything just washes off. Our granite is 2 years old and has the original sealer put on in the shop.

did they not seal it? they should upon install. to test it, drop water on it. check after 5 mins. is it still sitting there or did it absorb? if the latter, apply sealer. i like 511 or Aqua mix penetrating. Always test on a spare piece first. if you don't want your stone to enhance or deepen, get the sealer that won't alter the color. it will just say 'penetrating or impregnating sealer'. No enhance.

The particular granite you have
is oriented granite that tends to be quite porous. These type of
granites will need anywhere from 2-4 coats of Bulletproof sealer. The
Bulletproof is the best sealer that we have and that is out on the
market. The sealer is designed to buy you time to wipe a stain up however
things such as coffee, strawberry and tomatoes do have acid and if not wipe up
quickly can leave a stain as it eats through the sealer. If your granite
is darkening with water rather quickly then there is not enough sealer or the
sealer was not applied properly. I would recommend to clean well KlenzAll
to remove as much of the staining as possible. Use the Oil Stain Remover
to remove the deep set oil stain. Once all clean reseal with Bulletproof
following the directions for application. Below is a link to an MCI care

Ditto Joseph's recommendation for Proseal as it repels both water- and oil-based liquids -- you know, the types found in a typical kitchen. :) We applied two coats of Proseal to our very porous tops (Calacatta quartzite) a couple of years ago and have had zero issues with any staining/absorption.

TriNova Granite Sealer is my go to product. I use their Granite Cleaner daily and their sealer at least once a month. I got new counters two years ago and they still look amazing!
