Did you buy your carpet from Costco?
Comments (17)I made the unfortunate decision to recommend Costco - Shaw carpet (Seattle area) to my daughter. They were higher, but explained Costco would be a better experience. It was truly terrible. Quote high, promised to sand a concrete small threshold lump (added this work to quote for a fee). Day of installation went by home - installers were beyond rude. They were lifting and moving a fridge in the middle of the room over and placing on newly installed carpet (hardwood guys left it in wrong spot, but things happen in life. Just wanted to find a quick workable solution. Installers Pablano and Tony had agreed to move outside it outside in the AM when speaking with my daughter). Came back with help and a dolly, but installers would not in any way help move the fridge 6" outside (it's old and not used so not worried about damage to fridge as they claimed, worried about leaking and damaging new carpet though). Said it wasn't in their work order. Second, they wouldn't sand the quoted lump - again said wasn't in their work order (did another process I didn't see or trust at this point). Call the sales rep Jason - who told me too bad, they could do anything they wanted, what they did was actually better (Jason's boss Liz Long told my daughter they didn't sand as would cost 3xs what was quoted). Do you understand the lack of trust on our end? Called Jason - Shaw sales rep (253) 431-XXXX hung up, he was on vacation and didn't really care to help solve. Really? Costco - this is the face of who is out representing your name! Please re-consider other options when choosing carpet - I am a Costco stock holder and WILL NOT choose Costco again. BUYER BE AWARE ;(...See MoreHahn kitchen sink from Costco?
Comments (7)We ended up buying the single bowl from Costco when we did our kitchen. Right after it was installed, I noticed some scratches. Installers said they didn't do it and they must have been there. Unfortunately I didn't inspect the sink very carefully when I got it, so I didn't know who to believe. I didn't want to get another one from Costco because the installers already had to redo the granite one other time. I wanted my kitchen back already! Initially I was upset, and bought something from Home Depot to try to get the scratches out. Never tried it. However, even with the grate that comes with it, it does get scratches. I LOVE that the single bowl is HUGE and fits large pans. The only other complaint is that the sides are not angled toward the center very well, so I need to use the sprayer to direct any food debris toward the drain....See MoreContinuation of small rental kitchen: Induction in a rental?
Comments (15)Nosoccermom, How could do you think renters would mess up an induction cooktop? Even when you don’t clean it, it stays clean. Items don’t burn into the surface. It is actually an easier to use and clean unit than a gas or electric range. The one risk that I experienced when I moved to induction was for the first week, I burned everything in sight. Who knew how much power a 3700watt burner on full blast really was when you don’t feel the heat from the surface. Induction does introduce some behaviors that spoil you for other things though, like putting a cotton towel next to a pot while cooking, or putting wooden utensils on the cooktop surface while cooking. These are things you should not do when using the gas burners....See MoreCostco Hansgrohe brand faucets?
Comments (6)I purchased a Hansgrohe rainshower from Costco and have just purchased 2 of the Hansgrohe Bruched Nickel Metris faucets today. I could not be happier with the rainshower. I researched Hansgrouhe extensively before purchasing the rainshower and found almost all reviews to be quite positive. I had thought about getting Moen since I had Moen faucets in my last home and never had any issues and I purchased Moen towel hooks and toilet paper holders for my bathroom reno, but decided to stick with the Hansgrohe, since I was so happy with the rainshower....See MoreLindsey B
