You're right; the exterior is seriously messed up; a two-story box with a mix of Tudor and generic elements from the big box hardware store attached. Are you even sure that is real stone? I would consider removing all the current elements (stone, stucco, faux half timbering, Victorian door, etc., etc. ) If you want to take this home into some kind of style, you'll have to go contemporary I think. Consider something interesting and eye-catching to clad it with. Add some other wood elements at the door and garage. Your possibilities are unlimited!

Savita, I don't know if I'd do anything to the brick on the right. I can't see it well enough. If the brick can be matched, I might use it in redesigning the front porch and steps. This is where a designer on site could really be a help.

what do you think about doing a vertical board and batten instead of that current siding? (also, notice the porch overhang. Right now that cool gray siding color doesn't work whatsoever w/the warm yellow tones of the brick. And, I just don't think that style siding even works. What color is the roof? If it was done more like this, w/the walkway, flowerbeds and the painted brick, it would look better landscaping will be huge, naturally. some other similar colonial brick/siding homes Limewash on the brick, and instead of that siding, they used a composite shake.
