I have two fobs. One from our current van one from the last van. I have a a string of square beads that spell my moms name as it was hers. A key chain from Alaska that was my moms. A key chain that came with a Porsche that a friend gave me when he bought his car. A bunch of keychain store discount cards, a keychain from North Carolina with a 1996 penny in it (year my daughter was born). A bunch of keys..7 that most of which I have no idea what they are for except the van and house keys. Just a pile of heavy junk.

I don't have a key chain. My car fob stays in my purse (which is locked in the safe overnight). My two house keys & my office key are clipped, individually, to the tether inside my purse.

That's the system I headed for.

I am about to change the house/car (one of the cars. The other stays inside) key to a keychain. Another keychain will be the work keys on a clip that stays in the car with my name tag except when I go into work. I have to have those as they are the keys to the entire floor's keys. Why carry around additional keys that I don't need nights or weekends? Space hogs. I have two for my mom's house too. Those I'll leave in the car as I can only use them when I am going to her house, and I always drive to her house. I can't wait to slim down.

Do not ask me why I carry a silicone ear...this is heavy and cumbersome. I thought that with something like this it’d be easy to grab from purse; and it is but not good for anything else. One of these days I’ll take out some of the junk.

I don't carry any keys except the fob for the car's keyless ignition. I used to have something like this with all of my reward cards and a tiny flashlight, but most of the rewards programs accept a telephone number now.

None. One loose car fob for the car I'm driving, one loose housekey (all locks commonly keyed). Car fobs are bulky enough, linking them with something else or adding any kind of attachment makes a bundle too bulky to fit into front pockets.

I refuse to give my phone number since I believe in privacy. I often give it with sequential number 345-6789 for instance, and I'm surprised how often an account like that already exists. It would seem others don't have or don't want to give a phone number either.

Landline phone numbers seem to be readily available public information. Mobile phones, less so. It's usually quite easy to get your name and your address in seconds, for free. Try Googling either, or checking on whitepages.com (which uses info from property recordings and other sources) and see what you find.

I have my car key fob, all my rewards cards, a tiny flashlight, a purple souvenir Eiffel Tower, some cutesy fish that my daughter gave me and a big purple clip to tether to my purse strap. Way too heavy and cumbersome.

No key chain. The fob to my car with one house key attached to it - all doors are keyed to the same key. I never use it. I come in through my auto garage door with opener, or if someone picks me up and I happen to be out without a purse I will use the touch pad to open DH's side of the garage - this garage has his and hers doors ;0).

I keep an apartment key to my mothers in a little zip compartment in my purse on a vintage Montgomery Wards keychain. She sold furniture and mattresses there many years ago.

I have keys on various key rings in a drawer that are for other family and friends houses. I rarely have to use them and hope I recognize which goes to what house if the needs arises.

I love keychains...I used to have a neck size lanyard so I could grab it easily out from the abyss....my purse ;-) I swapped that out for a Christmas gift from my DD, a cute heart keychain but that is ready to be replaced. I don't like to put too much on my key chain...supposedly its not good for you ignition. Plus I don't need any extra weight in my purse. Beside one cute key chain, I have my house key, office key, a couple other small items and that's it. Now I want to go key chain shopping...or maybe that can be my bday gift from DD. B-days in July :-)

Rob333, I have a pay-as-you-go cell phone that I use for rewards cards and all site sign-ups. It costs $8 per month and is never on. I figure that's a small price to pay to keep my landline and real cell phone relatively spam free.

Our vehicles have only the fobs attached to the key. Both DH and I carry a second ring that contain other keys that we need. DH's is just the ring, mine is a ring with an very oversize (5" long) paperclip. Mine is in my purse at all times. It was explained to me years ago by a mechanic, that carrying all your keys on a ring with your car key is a bad choice. He cited excessive wear on the ignition switch. He also mentioned that anyone using/servicing your vehicle would have access to your home etc by simply copying a key.

I carry a key fob in my purse but the car senses when I am near and unlocks so I never have to take it out.

I carry three other keys on a small circular ring. Very plain Jane.

I have cute key blanks...similar to this but one is a pink flower and one a cute little monkey face...I used to get the cute painted key blanks, but the paint would wear off. These are much better..

Mine I got back around 2003, from a friend who passed away a couple months later of the same cancer that took my Mom. It is souvenir she picked up for me when we met in Virginia, so it's a key fob celebrating that state's history.

Mine is a round pewter pekingese head, given to me by my son and daughter in law some years ago.

Always. My house key is from Lowes its a Pittsburgh Steelers. I don't often need to unlock the door but when I do it makes it easy to find the correct key. My kids and grands all have the same Steeler key to our home.

The main keyring has my vehicle key, house key, medical alert tag, a small solar powered flashlight and an extra ring so I can hook it on my finger to keep from dropping it. I don't want a lot of weight hanging on the ignition. Know a couple people who damaged their ignition switches and it was a spendy repair. I do keep a Nite Ize Infini-Key on the belt loop for other EDC, like the store cards, mini pocket knife, etc.

We finally stopped our land line but never bothered to notify thosew/whom we have loyalty cards. Has never been a problem.

I have a vintage horse blanket pin. I use it to pin my keys to my purse strap, or to the belt loop, on my pants.

Just the proximity fob for my car. No keys attached but I do have the plastic tag for our gym on it so they can scan when we go in.

I have another small key ring with keys to our condo, house, DD’s house, and rental property. I don’t normally carry it in my small bag unless I’m going to one of those places. They are on a ring attached to a small red leather fob with a silver heart that my DGD gave me years ago.

I keep my car key and house key on separate key chains. House key can stay in my purse until I need it. I keep my high school ring (50 years old next year) on my car key chain because I really like the ring but don't want to wear it.

I have three, one is a beaded and leather thing that was made by my friend's brother. She gave it to me a few years ago, that one is attached to one of my car key fob and all my store mini card things. The other is a Japanese doll that one of my exchange students gave me, this has my other car key fob, and assorted house keys, the last one is a metal heart that says "each day is a gift from God" that has all my work related keys on.

Car key only on a long fabric lanyard, that I can wear around my neck when hands are full, is easy to find in my purse, because it is long; have keypad for house, so don't carry house key on it.

No fobs, but I have a key chain that separates in the middle. Each end has a ring, and one end holds car keys that I leave with a valet after I detach the other end that holds the house keys.

Car key and mil grade thumb drive are on one end. Other end has (clockwise) stainless steel thumbnail, mailbox key, house key (new locks), house key (old locks - we have 6 external doors), office key, and daughter's apartment key on the paperclip.

Just want to mention to those that have alternative methods to enter your home, that you need to have a key with you in case whatever technology you're using fails. DH and I normally enter/exit our home via a keypad, but each carry a key that will let us into the home via a different door should it become necessary.

I carry two keys on a tight circular ring. Most of the time I have a small or large horse blanket pin on it so that I can attach it to belt loop, backpack, or something else I might be carrying.

My key fob is an enameled image of the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. It was among my Christmas gifts one year from DGDs.

Be careful of a long lanyard for an ignition key, your foot can become entangled.

I have been using a key chain that was given out by my insurance company years ago. It is neon green plastic ring and looks like an old landline telephone cord. I only have 1` key and it is my house key. Using this ring makes it easy for me to find my key in my purse or if I am out walking the dog I can put it around my wrist. I have some really nice fancy key rings that I have been given as gifts over the years but I just stick with this one.
