Franke may have gotten out of the hood business, like several other appliance companies recently. The current state of the economy is not helping anyone! I would recommend trying to get in touch with Franke's main office - http://www.franke.com/frankegroup/main/en/home.html They may have some of these models laying around or in storage or in a distributor's warehouse, etc. Fill out the "contact us form", you might get a response in your favor. Also, many companies make the cylinder shape hoods, so you're not limited to only the 2 models above. For example, the company I got my hood from, also makes a cylinder model called "Jupiter", as well as "Jupiter Glass" which is very similar to the Kobe model you've linked. Their site - http://www.futurofuturo.com. Which type of hood are you looking for? Island mount or Wall mount? The links you shared are for different applications.

Thanks for the photo's. I am putting in a banquette too. I never even thought of using one, but a kitchen designer talked me into it. My wall is 9 ft. long - I don't want the banquette that long so I think I will put seating ends on it. I will have windows behind it and small windows on the sides. I may not even use a table with it, since I will have an island that seats 3-4 and I'm a "family of 1"... After I made my decision to put one in, I was suprised how many of the kitchen magazines are showing them now. So I'm glad I was "talked into it".

Thanks. We do have some preliminary sketches and will be tweaking those. The landscape designer was pretty good about asking what we wanted and trying to improve on that. =P We weren't sure about the steps so we let her be herself on those. There are curves of course--the drive is curvy and the walk has to curve. Curved planting areas and a rounded lawn since the alternative to that is a weird polygon like I already have. I should get my scanner working maybe! Or camera. The porch doesn't run all the way across--the roof does, however. The house extends to the edge of the roof on the right side which is absolutely impossible to tell from that photo. The little window behind the lamppost looks over the porch, the larger one near the garage is all the way out to the typical setback under the eaves. (I know there are proper terms for all this somewhere.) Much wider steps would be nice, but with half the front being driveway already, I don't think we can pull it off! I don't know if it's relevant, but the only places one can sit inside the house and appreciate any front yard landscaping is the kitchen table (the window closer to the garage) where you can't see much more than driveway and the toilet whose window is tucked between the garage and kitchen in the direction of the garage. That's the good seat. I really do appreciate all the views on this. Thanks!!

If you have a rectangular table you can choose different shapes although I think its nicer to choose a rectangular. For a round table I recommend a round chandelier.
