Info needed about Rosy-Red Robin Hood rose
Comments (4)I had a Robin Hood until my hubby got tired of it grabbing him when he was mowing. I loved that rose bush! It was about as wide as tall...about 4-5 feet, what I'd describe as a darkish hot pink color with a peppery scent on the profuse..VERY profuse... small blooms. I'd ordered it from a very bad nursery (I'm smarter now!!), and it was just a sickly looking stick when it came. Almost just tossed it, but it really took off. What a great rose it was, IMO. No spraying at all, and it was totally healthy and grew like a weed! I just ordered a Mozart, and was delighted to see that Robin Hood is a parent of Mozart! I'll plant it where it won't bother my husband this time!...See Moreplant strong "rosie the riveter plantingsâ for your later ye

Comments (111)LL if you can grow then as climbers, or if you have a place for a tall rose, I would really recommend it. The height is perfect because it’s right there to enjoy the fragrance, which is fantastic. The only thing I should warn is that I notice mine need more water and more attention (feeding, etc) than others to be their best. I don’t feed my roses normally, but this princess gets fed....See MoreEver-blooming Roses for Portland, 1923

Curdle, sometime you should read old rose descriptions from Samuel McGredy. EVERY of his roses lavished with praise, each one the very best rose ever raised... he got away with it, because it seemed that he really was enamored of these roses, and felt the praise was truly justified.
