I don't want to hijack Elizabeth's thread, but I am going through the same, only have a much worse problem. My projects get really big, and I realize that in the past the boxes or baskets I have used haven't been deep enough. I was a The Old Time Pottery last weekend, - they've got a number of stores in Atlanta and I don't know if they are elsewhere. They were selling "lingerie chests" with drawers that are about the size needed for 8.5 x 11 papers, or folded legal size paper. So I bought the only 2 they had (one was their floor sample, already assembled!) and have started sticking projects in that. I have already realized I'll probably need paperweights to keep the larger piles from getting out of control and sticking so the drawers can't open. The chest is about 45" high, and the drawers look square - I would say about 14" x 14". I am planning on using these drawers and maybe if I need them some boxes. I've tried baskets before, and realize that one reason they don't work for me is that they are so heavily textured that the papers get caught by the woven strips, or it's uncomfortable for me to stick my hands in. So far, I've scoooped up the project piles on my morning room table, which serves as a desk. As long as the drawers remain easy to open (i.e., good, lasting construction of cheap furniture, as well as controlling the piles by dividing into sub-projects, if needed), this might work for me.

The problem I have is my door wont open at all. Neither the remote nor the wall button will budge it. The wall unit and the overhead opener seem to be communicating, since the lightbulbs are flashing, and turn on and off when told to. The remotes seem to have no affect at all. I replaced the chain onto the sprocket assemby and was adjusting the up and down on the main unit, Unit does nothing now when I press button on wall, is it possible to have adjusted the up/down too much to make unit not operate?Anyone have any ideas why my door won't work at all? I would expect the motor to at least chug or something, but...nuthin! Just flashing lights when i press the wall buttons. Sears Model 139.53975SRT1. HELP!

@zep, Yep! A front rolled in last night. I am surprised I haven't lost my connection yet, though I may have over night and never realized it. Continual heavy sprinkle now, so I better get done what I can just in case...... Did I tell you about the wind storm we had here in late June that blew my dish out of alignment? Was able to get a connection but it was sporadic and very weak. Lucky for me that I am considered a good customer. I get 1 free house call a year that would have cost me $100 for the tech to come by to realign the dish. Too bad I had to use it for that. There are instructions found on the internet on how to do it yourself, but you're not going to catch me up on the roof. What was that 4G thing you tried by placing on the window sill to boost the connection? It didn't work did it? Remember my first cell phone? Can't remember who the carrier was but in order to get a signal I had to step out on the front porch and hold it high in the air, and because my carrier did not have an antenna near I had to use others and the roaming costs were sending me into bankruptcy. Some times cheap is not the best way to go. If you want good service out here in the middle of nowhere you have to pay for it. When I retire, I am moving closer to town and will certainly look into what is available before that move is decided upon. I never would have thought that an internet\TV\phone connection is what would make me decide where I wanted to live. To think I was worried about property taxes, cost of gas. utilities, etc. :rolleyes:

Has anyones lock fault problem been intermittent? A few times over the life of my machine prior to this latest problem I had the door fault beep and if I pushed the door and cancelled it was still locked but if I ran a drain/spin it would unlock. Maybe this happened 1-2 times per year. Then the current problem happened and I just couldnt get it to unlock untill I powered the machine off for 15 min. I managed to do a few loads that day - but then it happened again. Took multiple times tripping the circuit breaker (plug is not easily accessible) and eventually I got it unlocked. Ran a drain/spin cycle to test -- and it faulted and wouldnt open. This was when I started posting here and scheduled service (which is coming today). Eventually, I left the circuit off for a few hours and when I powered back on the door unlokced. I have done about 10 loads without the fault or failure to unlock. So now not really sure what to do -- the service person is coming today (for another appliance too so I didnt cancel) and perhaps I want to ID the parts with them and get a quote even if I wait. Just strange it was so stubborn and seemed so broken but now has worked for that many loads. I will have him look at my problem with not being able to do the manual open. If I can figure this out the 3D printed part would help if this comes back.
