We just found some as well. May 2016 Hung out the laundry after our dryer broke and forgot about them over night. My daughter found them when folding her shirt. She scraped some off and larvae came out. Totally freaked her out. I guess there are more reasons to have a dryer than stiff towels. I am thankful our dryer is fixed.

I also have seen that on a plant in my garden. They are like galls, some plant tissue that has reacted to some damage or disease. They are hard and can't be scraped off. I removed the stem and then the rest of the plant did fine. If it were a whole plant, I'd put it in the trashcan.

This egg blew out of a tree onto my front porch can someone tell me what it is. I live in Gulf Shores Alabama and theres a large oak tree it blew out of. The egg is solid white and very small 2 cm x 1.5 cm
