I had to go to San Antonio today and I figured on my way home I would stop here and just check if there were any JJ plumies left there. Honestly I didn't even have the heart (sense) to call and even though it was about a half hour each way out of my way I had to go check it out. Well boy am I glad I did!!! There were 5 JJ's plumies that I saw - 4 Premium White and...1 Divine!!! It was just sooooo meant to be! So for $49.99 plus tax, I got a 6 tip 3 or 4 inflo plant, 3ft from the soil line. Some of the flowers: It was also a perfectly snug fit in my tiny Sentra - sitting on the floor of the car it was brushing the roof inside. Only 2 little bits on an inflo were broken, not bad at all. I don't know if they had any plumies anyplace else, honeslty I didn't walk through the whole place even though it was really lovely. I walked up the path, just happened to notice a cluster of plumies sitting there, looked for just a few minutes and of course I knew I was getting the Divine. I paid and all said and done I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. kms2 you're right on, they sell mostly water garden stuff but it's very beautiful to walk through and if you're looking for a plumie you could always call them! Thanks Peg, as I said in my article, occassionally plumerias will pop a root from the side of the bark during the rooting process. This is however a very rare even. Most plumerias do not develop any roots from the side of the bark during the rooting process. In addition, as they grow older, none ever develops roots from the side of the bark. What I am trying to acheive in my current project is not just to make a root or two from the side of the bark but rather to develop two to four times the number of roots that are at the botttom. This way, the plumeria plant will be anchored very well and will be very vigorous. George

If it is thrips, you will be able to see damage in the white part of the rose. That is where it shows up most clearly. You will see brown streaks or tiny brown spots. In your case I would be tempted to leave it for a few days just to find out for sure which one is causing it. Once you know you can remove any damaged roses promptly. This may reduce (but not eliminate) the spread of the thrips. You'll probably take the proliferating ones off as well but it's not so important in that case. Rosefolly
