I really hate to say it, but, I would lighten up that dark paint, that you painted the house with, before doing doors, etc. Its just too gray and gloomy, for a beach setting. I agree with littlebug above, its perfect for a deep woods somewhere. Now as to the door. I notice you are asking about Valspar colors. Here is the name of one, that is very pretty aqua/teal color, its a very fresh and clear color. It is Valspar, and can be mixed in exterior or interior paint. For your door, I would use a semi gloss. The color name is Setting Sail V028-2. Its beautiful.

I need to see the siding material. and BTW garage doors can be painted what trim are you talking about? A picture from further back that can be enlarged would be a big help also the front door area.

Just a quick update to say I chose paint colors! I went with Miller Paints (only in the PNW). A for the body of the house, B for the main trim, C for the mullions. Also took an updated photo of my house to share for those of you who commented on the vines on the trellises on my house. (Still lots more vegetation to get under control before painting, but it is a constant process!) I'll share an update when the painting is completed, but it will be awhile. I work more than full time, have lots of weekend getaways planned for the summer, and the prep work is going to be incredibly time-intensive (but important)! Just need to get it all painted before the rain starts in the fall. Thank you all for sharing your suggestions and opinions! (Please excuse the hose, garden watering was underway!)

haley, you're going to HAVE to get actual samples and try them out. (please prime over the current color w/white so you get a true color reading) trying to choose off a screen is very difficult. lighting will alter how the actual color looks in person. not sure that I like stone lion (at least in the mock up) its very similar to what you have. modern gray may have too much pink. see the diff here? Athena might be a nice shade. Light Pewter too. I have that in my kitchen. I like these. soft suede might be a better choice. or, try one of the other grieges listed above Dvivine white would also be a nice stucco color. You will have to do samples to see how these colors look w/your stone. what I do is go to home deport and get a color match for sw or bm colors in the behr sample pots. they're only $3 and are very close. (BM has their own tints and is difficult to get an exact match w/other paint) I like using Behr paint, so if you like the color w/the color match sample, just use the behr paint. so, I'd get multiple samples and try them out on the stucco. it's the only way to be sure
