Paint Home Decorating Design Dilemma

Redecorating Living Room

Currently it is to fancy and we never use the room (fairly large room with dining room within area, yet separate from living room). Will be keeping dining room table and sidetable.

On the living room side want to go very casual, (get away from the formal living room) so we will use. Have not chosen new living room furniture yet, but intend on going super light. (thinking couch ivory/cream velvet)

Need recommendations for wall color, (I like neutrals, light colors, greiges), since current fabric is not in play, I am open to a new paint scheme. Scheme for walls, bottom trim, 2 built-in corner cabinets, wall of shelves (the back will probably be same color as walls? Would like to go a little darker on the 2 corner cabinets?

Thank you for reminder of photos. I will wait until I empty most of the room, then take photos and repost. I have 2 weeks before the painter is scheduled to come. Best Wishes, Elle

Not sure which direction to go for coffee table - If i do a wrought iron book case should the coffee table have wrought iron? Or can it match the side tables what will have silver bases? Also, not sure where to look for similar dining table as one pictured above, but need dimensions to be around 5ft long and 3 ft wide - with bench to match! I found great options by sizes available are too big!

The first thing you do is paint that fire surround to white. Then If you want navy walls? You do all FOUR walls. Add a paler rug.......even a sisal can be lovely. But your photos say nothing. At all.
