This room is just too cute for words! I assume this isn't the room your significant other would have his buddies over to watch the Superbowl, but it is extremely charming. I do agree that if you could lose the shelf under the table, it would make it less bulky & would showcase more of your rug through the glass. Normally the size of the table compared to some of the other elements may be a bit large, but because of the quirky, Alice in wonderland feel of the room, I think it works. Black high gloss spray paint all the way...several coats!

I prefer the nutmeg one. I’m just afraid to mix different wood colors. That’s why I wanted to get other opinions. :) I didn’t want everything to be too gray either. If I selected the gray set.

Thank you both. Following the 2/3 rule on the sofa to coffee table ratio, I think im going to go with the 55x32.. then the chair will fall where they will.. We'll have a matching end table to the side of the sofa and the first chair as well.. so that should help.. Would you go with an even smaller coffee table? They have a 48x28 as well.. They also have a round 36".. though that might a bit dwarved by the 7' sofa.. What do you think?

I would get a canvas dropcloth, wash it a couple of times to soften it - and I would do a DIY no sew dropcloth slipcover for the sofa. It would offer you the look of a nice linen on the sofa - and the color would work well in your space. Plus it is washable. Also very cost effective; you could easily get a couple of them to have on hand to change out. Lots of info online, including tutorials on YouTube.
