To post pictures: 1. Open an account on a free picture hosting site such as Photobucket, Webshots, Flickr, etc. 2. Make your album "public" so others can see your pictures .....In Photobucket: Click on "Account Options" (top right corner) ..........Next, click "Edit Album Settings" ..........Then, where it says "My album is", be sure it says "Public" (if not, change it to "Public") 3. Using camera software that came with your camera or other software like Microsoft Picture Manager, resize the picture so it's less than 600 pixels in both directions. It's best to resize based on a percentage (like 20%) so the picture dimensions remain consistent (not stretched out vertically or horizontally!) 4. Upload the picture to your account (see #1) 5. If you use Photobucket, when you see your picture on the site, copy the link from the box labeled "HTML Code" (I don't know where the link is in Webshots, Flicker, etc.--I use Photobucket) .....[BTW...You can also resize your pic on the Photobucket site] 6. Simply paste the link from the "HTML Code" in your message...you're done! When you preview your message you will see the picture. Is this understandable??? [Please let me know if it's not so I can re-work the instructions!]

You gave me a great idea to install a cabinet all the way down to the granite on the right. As I am staring at my kitchen back wall, the longer length of backsplash tile on the right didn't help with symmetry. May ditch the open shelving and return back to your suggestion of even uppers flanking the windows. Now I can return to sleeping at night. Thanks Sophie for your great suggestion.

The shelves appear to be sitting on the carpet so there isn't any reason to wait to remove them. I would carefully disassemble them, remove the nails & salvage the wood. I don't think they are going to remove as 'units'...look to have been built in place. At least, the narrow shelved part will need to come out in pieces. The longer, double unit may come out whole. That lumber will be useful for any number of things. Not the greatest quality in some of the boards because of the large knots but worth saving to use for shelving in the garage, basement, closets, storage shed, etc.

How do you insert the cabinets into pictures? Do you think this would work for the storage behind my desk. I was thinking of two of them..and I'm getting rid of the sofa and boat pics and will put my curtains back up once I get some oil rubbed bronze rods...or black rods. They're pretty in person...or does it look like a wall locker. Thank you!
